Thierry Meyssan tries a new tactic

Thierry Meyssan is trying out the “freedom of religion” tactic to expose the Syrian terrorists as terrorists.

This tactic can be used against Western imperialists who self-righteously pose as champions of “religious freedom."

Thierry Meyssan notes that the terrorists seek to expel or exterminate anyone who is not a Sunni Muslim. That means Christians, Shiites, Alawites, and so on. In short, the terrorists want to eliminate freedom of religion.

(Jews can stay in Syria, since the Sunni terrorists are allied with them, despite the Sunni condemnation of their victims as “Zionists.” The Libyan terrorists were allied with Israel, yet they denounced Qaddafi as a “Zionist.” For Sunnis, all their targets are “Zionists.” For Jews, all their targets are “Nazis.” These are mere labels. The political reality is quite different.)

“The Western press describes the ‘Free Syrian Army’ as a conservative Sunni organization, as opposed to Al-Qaeda (and its local branch, the Support Front for the People of the Levant), which is portrayed as the only extremist one of the two. This portrayal is misleading, since some leaders of the "Free Syrian Army" have been longstanding Al-Qaeda officials. It is not possible to completely distinguish the two structures from each other.”

 >COMMENT: I don’t like Thierry Meyssan’s term “Al-Qaeda officials.”  Al-Qaeda is not a government, or an organization. Al-Qaeda is whatever mercenaries the NATO-Israeli-GCC alliance happens to hire for a specific task.  Many are not paid. They are sent to places like Libya, Somalia, or Syria, and told to steal all they want. If anyone questions their atrocities, the mercenaries claim they are “serving Allah.”<

“Moreover the ‘Free Syrian Army’ falls under the spiritual authority of Sheikh Adnan al-Arour, whose program is explicitly takfirist, meaning he intends to cleanse the Muslim community and expel or kill all non-Sunnis.”

>COMMENT: A “takfir” is a Muslim who condemns others as apostates, infidels, Satan-worshippers, etc. <

“NATO and the GCC arm and fund the takfiris in the hope of provoking a religious war that will enable the colonial powers to divide the Middle East and gain a better control over it. This political project, known as ‘remodeling of the Broader Middle East,’ crystallizes in Syria, whose civilization embodies and promotes a diametrically opposite project: secular institutions guaranteeing religious freedom and cooperation.”

>COMMENT: Syria, Iran, and Qaddafi’s Libya have long prided themselves on their religious tolerance. The NATO-Israeli-GCC alliance seeks to eliminate that tolerance, in order to destroy the target nations. The alliance wants targeted nations to have a puppet government, or else a religious government that remains permanently weak and unstable, or else no government at all. Worst of all for the alliance is an anti-imperialist secular government. In Iran, the secular president, Ahmadinejad, heads the executive branch. The head of the judicial branch (Ali Hosseini Khamenei) is religious.<

Anyway, Thierry Meyssan continues his comments in a seven-minute YouTube video titled Une guerre contre la liberté religieuse (“A War Against Religious Freedom”).

Note in the video how the Sunni terrorists scream for the destruction of Iran, Hezbollah, and Alawites. For the imperialists, the method of attack on Syria is not bombing, but to make Muslims kill each other, and kill non-Muslims.

Syria has 2.7 million Christians. At 3:20, the terrorists chant that, “The religion of Jesus is for whores.”  This will not move Western Christians who, after all, adore the Jews that despise them, but it can be used to challenge the “democracy” lie. We can say that the war in Syria is between the government, which protects religious freedom, and the terrorists, who oppose religious freedom.

At 4:30, Thierry Meyssan speaks from the Umayyad Mosque in Damascus, the fourth-holiest place in Islam. Originally a Christian church, its mausoleum is said to contain the head of John the Baptist, who is honored as a prophet and martyr by both Christians and Muslims alike. Pope John Paul II held a public mass there on 7 May 2001 (the first Pope to enter a mosque). The center of the mosque is the Minaret of Isa (Jesus) who will supposedly return to that exact minaret at the End of Days. For the Western-backed terrorists, all this is blasphemous. 

Thierry Meyssan: “This mosque symbolizes what the imperialists are trying to destroy in Syria, namely a civilization where everyone can live together.”

At 3:35 the terrorists publicly hang a man.
