Woman successfully sues AIPAC member who assaulted her

CODEPINK has a lot of Jewish members, but they seem sincere in their opposition to war, imperialism, and the One Percent. 

On 24 May 2011, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was in Washington DC, speaking before a joint session of Congress.

In the audience was CODEPINK’S Rae Abileah, a 29-year-old Jewish woman who has traveled to the West Bank, Israel and Gaza. Ms. Abileah became increasingly appalled as U.S. congresspeople gave Netanyahu twenty-nine standing ovations.

Finally she got up and shouted: "No More Occupation! Stop Israeli War Crimes! Equal Rights for Palestinians!"

She also unfurled a banner that read: “Occupying Land is Indefensible!”

She was violently pulled toward the floor and gagged by Stanley Shulster, a retired Jewish attorney from Ashland, Oregon, who had traveled to Washington DC to attend the yearly AIPAC conference.  (NOTE: this incoident was in the US Capitol building, not at the AIPAC conference. The incident can be seen on YouTube.)

Stanley Shulster is a volunteer in the Israeli military.  In his online bio, he bragged that he “grabbed the woman who heckled the Prime Minister while he was speaking.”

Outside the U.S. Capitol building, Rae Abileah was arrested, and also hospitalized because of Stanley Shulster’s attack. She was treated for neck and shoulder injuries, and y had to undergo months of physical therapy, chiropractic care and other treatments to heal from these injuries.

Abileah pressed charges against Stanley Shulster, and got a warrant for his arrest. She also filed a civil suit for damages.

As a result, Shulster was forced to pay her medical fees and issue an apology.

The AIPAC audience erupts in rage, as audience members scramble over chairs to physically attack the protesters.

The AIPAC Jews again react violently.
