"Obama lit him up. Cantor sat in stunned silence."

According to an official who attended yesterday's "debt talks" between Obama and Cantor: “Obama lit him up. Cantor sat in stunned silence”..."It was incredible.  If the public saw Obama he would win in a landslide.”

"incredible" and "landslide" are pretty strong words, and I doubt that white house officials are accustomed to exaggerating. No other article I read ran this quote.

A couple quoted Cantor's account that Obama said "Eric, don't call my bluff," and 'I'm going to the American people with this.'"

Most others quoted Obama's "enough is enough" before walking out.

Given the usual use and reuse of the same quotes and reports by most news sources out there, you have to wonder why they're not running this unusually positive characterization of Obama's performance yesterday.

What exactly did Obama say to Cantor that has this anonymous official so impressed and convinced that Americans would vote him into office again by a landslide had they witnessed it?

We may never know, but I'm putting this out there, hoping that someone, somewhere can find out just what transpired in that meeting and get it on the internet so Americans can make an informed decision about who to back during these talks.
