TRUE! - Russian Ex-Spy died Muslim

If Monsters and Critics can be trusted to accurately cite the Times Online, then earlier reports were true.

Alexander Litvinenko, the former KGB agent murdered by radioactive poisoning in London, requested to be buried according to Muslim rites after converting to Islam on his deathbed, according to the Times Online.

Walter Litvinenko, Alexander's father, said in a reported interview published today in the Times Online that his son, an Orthodox Christian, made it his last wish as he lay dying in the hospital.

"He said ’I want to be buried according to Muslim tradition’," Mr Litvinenko told Moscow's Kommersant daily. Reported the Times Online.

"I said, ’Well son, as you wish. We already have one Muslim in our family - my daughter is married to a Muslim. The important thing is to believe in the Almighty. God is one.’"

Wow - phenomenal spiritual twist to an incredibly bizarre tale of power, secrecy, and control.

The investigation continues into the murder of Litvinenko. He accused President Vladimir Putin of involvement. "You may succeed in silencing one man but the howl of protest from around the world will reverberate, Mr Putin, in your ears for the rest of your life," he said in a written statement.

The spy's father told Kommersant, an independent business daily, that he was also sure that Mr Putin was involved in the death. Reported the Times Online.

"I am in no doubt that this was done by members of the Russian secret services, with the permission of Vladimir Putin."

The Times Online reports Russian authorities have denied any involvement in this case.

I wait with bated breath to see what happens next.

Comments

This would dovetail nicely with his deathbed comments regarding his accusation that Putin was his murderer. He wrote a eulogy to himself and called Putin a vicious killer and threatened his damnation.

So he converts to Islam and now the political world has another good example of Islam being a religion of violence and death.

Does anyone have firm evidence of Litvinenko's native...religion?

what's going on in this case.

Anything is possible - it's so bizarre.

I agree that declaring who the killer is in a note is somewhat suspicious. It could have been planted by someone else.

On the other hand, it's also predictable that someone who's dying of poisoning would want to express who he thinks his killer is.

Nevertheless, even if the note is authentic, I think it's important to underscore that it only reflects who Litvinenko thinks was his behind his assassination - he could be wrong.

"Money" has no value - people do.

The whole story is imho just a cover for something important going on in the background. A kind of "mistery for the lamestream media" in order to keep the real news - which are mostly not in favor of the world rulling regime - out of the media.

Don't fall for there propaganda tactics!

we should really look badly in need of these stuff from outside!!
That's not good!
