"No one will bomb us to silence. No one wil shoot us to silence. No one will ever scare us away from being Norway," Mr Stoltenberg says.

Excellent speech and it seems to be squarely directed at israel because rather than suggest Norwegians are being punished for their actions, he says clearly that those responsible are attempting to silence Norway.

When asked specifically about the attack on the youth camp, he characterize Norwegian youth as having very strong political views and he grew visibly agitated, suggesting he suspects the youth were targeted because of this.

"Attacking one of the most peaceful places, a political youth camp, is especially brutal - an act of cowardice," Mr Stoltenberg says.

I doubt that they will come right out and blame israelis, but in the coming days it will become apparent, based on their reluctance to verify the "islamic terrorists" as the culprits, whether or not they suspect israel.

BTW - Gunman is Norwegian.

On 10.07.2002, Mrs. Eva Kristin Hansen, the leader of the Norwegian Labor Party Youth Movement (AUF), called upon the Attorney General of Norway to investigate whether "Israel's Prime Minister Ariel Sharon and other Israeli leaders can be put on trial for crimes they committed" (http://norskisraelsenter.no/engl/auf-sharon-vg-engl.htm). Kristin explained that this AUF demand for an indictment comes in light of "...$nbsp;killing of ambulance personnel, occasional destruction of civil targets and the illegal execution of civilians".

Less than a day after this AUF petition was sent to the court, Norwegian former Prime Minister Jens Stoltenberg (Labor) spoke before the AUF and attacked Israel. NIS notes that it was not so long ago - 20.4.2002 -, that Stoltenberg gave a speech attacking Israel, while Nazi Swastikas and other horrible anti-Jewish banners were held up in front of the Norwegian parliament (http://norskisraelsenter.no/engl/ap-stoltenberg-eng.htm). Such symbols are otherwise forbidden for use in demonstrations organized by Neo-Nazis.

NIS is aware of the important position that the AUF has in the political life of Norway, particularly concerning the Norwegian Labor Party. AUF has produced many important leaders of the Labor Party. Naturally, their opinions influence their environment and Norway.

As young AUF members, future central Norwegian Labor Party leaders, called in 1971 for the destruction of Israel: "The qualification for lasting peace must be that Israel cease to exist as a Jewish state". (As quoted by Haakon Lie, former Secretary General of the Norwegian Labor Party, in his book: Slik Jeg Ser Det - As I See It - part II, p. 132.)

Seems to me pretty clear why the Labor Youth Camp was targeted - israelis are attempting to nip it in the bud. No Labor Youth - no future central Norwegian Labor Party Leaders to stand against them.

Norway's TV2 claimed the suspect has links to right-wing extremism, without disclosing its sources.

Around 600 people were believed to be taking part in the summer camp on Utoya - most of whom were teenagers aged between 14 and 18. [!!!]

On the second day of Labour Youth League summer camp at Utøya, the Labour Party's young hopefuls were visited by Foreign Minister Jonas Gahr Store.

He discussed the deadlock between Israel and the Palestinian Authority with Norwegian People's Aid Kirsten Belck-Olsen together with Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation correspondent Sidsel Wold 

When he arrived at Utøya he was met with a protests from the AUF demanding that Norway must recognize a Palestinian state.

"The Palestinians must have their own state, the occupation must end, the wall must be demolished and it must happen now", he said, to cheers from the audience.

The guy in the cami hat is Kristian "Varg" Vikernes, supposed to be an "anti-Semitic" leader of some group in Norway, according to the press in the Netherlands, some text below.

Varg, born Kristian also known by his nickname Count Grishnackh, was leader of the infamous Norwegian black metal project Burzum. Vikernes as anti-Semitic ideologies espoused extreme right, turned fiercely against Christianity.

In August 1993 Vikernes put his nemesis, and guitarist of the band Mayhem, Satanic, Oystein Aarseth death. In passing he also put three churches and a chapel on fire. In 1994, Vikernes, murder and arson, sentenced to prison for 21 years.

He himself argued that the death of an Aarseth was self-defense. He denied having been involved in the fires. Vikernes in 2009, after 16 years in prison on released. Salient detail: On the Facebook page of Varg Vikernes published 23 hours ago a message with concise content: War.

Thoughts on an Israeli interview with Varg Vikernes

Israel's Metalist website recently published this interview with Varg Vikernes. I think it's great that they secured the interview and more importantly, that the interviewer Alon Miasnikov did not shirk from answering the hard questions.  These days Vikernes' interviews seem to be characterised by his charm and good humour rather than a desire to shock (and they can be all the more dangerous for that). He is also extremely evasive and sometimes downright misleading. When asked for his views on Nazi antisemitism and the Holocaust he first of all talks about other massacres throughout history and  the way the facts are distorted and then goes on to argue that:

My problem with all these massacres is that I really don't know if they happened as described by the victors. Nor do I trust the descriptions of the victims, as they tend to at least exaggerate. I say this because I see how even my unimportant and (to most) uninteresting story has been presented by the Norwegian system. They actually teach children in school today that I am a devil-worshipping satanist who burned churches, and they use me to prove the existence of a satanic presence in our midst. Everything they teach them is a lie, and what they teach is even easily unveiled as nonsense. You don't even need any sources to figure this out. The whole story falls apart on its own due to a complete lack of logic. When it comes to the Holocaust I have the same problem. I don't trust the official story, because I have no reason to trust those who tell me this story.

So is he a Holocaust denier or not? I guess he  is, although he couches it in terms of suspicion of all mainstream historical narratives. He has never made denial a central part of his work and public statements though and  it's good that the interview got this out of him. His proof of why official narratives can't be trusted is also hilariously weak. While he may never  been a Satanist in the conventional sense of the word, he did indeed burned churches.

Vikernes is also asked in the interview about the notorious incident when he sent a letter bomb to Zeev Tannenboim of the Israeli metal band Salem. His response is as follows:

Well, I don't remember much of this. I was 18 years at the time and was «at war with the world», so to speak. All I remember was that I sent an electronic detonator to a guy in Salem and wrote to him that «Here is the device you needed to blow up that government building», as if he had asked for it. Then I wrote «cassette tape» on the customs note, knowing perfectly well that it did not look as if the package contained a cassette tape. It was a rotten joke intended to end our communication. As far as I know he was interviewed by the police and that was it, and I expected nothing more than that. It did, by the way, very efficiently end our comunication, as intended. «Big surprise».

Who knows whether this is true or not as Vikernes tends to manipulate his past continuously. It may be true though and in which case the conventional story only needs to be rewritten to the extent that the letter momb was only a detnonator and that it was couched as a joke designed to get Tannenboim into trouble. Whatever - Vikernes was clearly aiming to attack an Israeli musician for the simple reason that he was Israel and hence a Jew.

No surprise there. Luckily I accessed it before they pulled it.

He had his own company a geofarm (where he allegedly got the fertilizer to make the bombs), went to highschool in Oslo at Oslo Handelsgymnasium, "independent" listed under college with several thousand hours of study in finance and religion equivalent to several degrees, friends list not visible.

If this character is a bona fide person with roots in the community his classmates and neighbors will come out of the woodwork in the coming days.

It suspect the truth will come out eventually.

Death toll jumps; suspect still being questioned

"The updated knowledge we are sitting on now is at least 80," police chief Oystein Maeland told a news conference. "We can't guarantee that won't increase somewhat."

Hundreds of young people were attending the Labor Party youth event at the camp on Utoya island in a lake near Oslo when the gunman attacked.

UPDATE 8:35 p.m. ET: Dagbladet has more details on Anders Behring Breivik, 32, who has been identified as the suspect in Friday's attacks:

Neighbors tell Dagbladet that they have seen the 32-year-old in what looked like a military uniform several times. ...

Late last night, he was still being questioned. It was not known what might have been the motive behind the attacks.

"We have not formulated a basis for charges so far. We will formulate a charge during the night when we see what comes out of the interrogation," said prosecutor Trine Dingelan to Dagbladet at 1 a.m.

Behring Breivik for a time lived in the same street as a number of prominent white politicians on the west side of Oslo. [?]

In spring 2009 he established a sole proprietorship in Hedmark with the purpose to cultivate various vegetables and fruit products. Investigators were examining whether the company could have had access to ingredients for explosives.

He has tried to establish a number of companies in recent years, but they all have been dissolved. One of the companies pursued the development of sales services on the Internet, while another imported goods from abroad.
