By way of deception thou shalt spin murder on the high seas

The hasbara machinery in Tel Aviv and around the world has been working in overdrive since the moment Israel committed its disgusting act of piracy, kidnapping and murder on the high seas. Israel seems to think that by deluging the world's media with a torrent of lies it can somehow excuse its blatantly illegal, completely immoral and utterly repugnant actions. Their foot-soldiers, the Megaphone brigade, think that by polluting the comments sections of newspapers, blog sites and by tweeting their hasbara on twitter every other second they can somehow turn the inexcusable into the acceptable.

This shameless propaganda needs to be constantly countered with a few (uncomfortable) home truths.

The barrage of lies, misinformation, disinformation and mistruths comes as no big surprise, however, given that the motto of their "intelligence" services Mossad is "by way of deception, thou shalt do war". Remember, this is a country that thinks forging the passports of other countries in order to carry out extra-judicial execution is "kosher". 

Gaza Under Siege

Let's start with the blockade of Gaza. Although given tacit support by the so-called "Quartet", this siege is illegal under international law, as it collectively punishes all the people of Gaza for having the audacity to elect a government Israel doesn't like - a government led by Hamas. There are no ifs or buts about this... there are no circumstances where collective punishment can be acceptable under international law. None whatsoever.

The flotilla's aim was to break this illegal and immoral siege and to bring much needed supplies to the people of Gaza who are being denied basic nutrition, medical care and building materials.

Gaza's coastal waters are Palestinian territory and Israel has no business determining what can and can not sail in them.

Weapons of mass disinformation

Israel claimed that its forces found several weapons among the passengers on the Miva Marmara, the biggest of the vessels in the flotilla.  Given that the vessels were thoroughly checked by customs in Cyprus, this claim is highly suspect. Any "evidence" Israel provides deserves to be treated with extreme suspicion, given their penchant for manufacturing "evidence" to excuse their barbarity. Witnesses have claimed repeatedly that nobody on board was armed.

This suspicion should extend to the picture of the knife-weilding "terrorist" being bandied about by Israel's hasbara merchants and propagated by their "I stand with the racist state" Megaphone brigade.  A picture may be worth a thousand words, but a picture taken out of context can be used to tell a thousand lies. This particular picture is highly supicious given that it was apparently taken in daylight and at such a close range as to eliminate any context.

They attacked us... feel sorry for us!

Israel complains bitterly that those on board the flotilla had the temerity to defend themselves with whatever came to hand. They even kvetch loudly that they were lynched. They bitch that some of those on board had the presence of mind to throw some of the pirates overboard. So what if they did? Any person in possession of a backbone would do so! The commandos from the Israeli Occupation Forces were the aggressors. They intercepted a civilian vessel in international waters, 65 km from the shores of Gaza. They fired indiscriminately at those on board before coming on board themselves. What did they expect? An invite to a "welcome aboard" party?

While in international waters, a ship is considered an extension of the territory of the flag it carries. The captain of such vessels are authorised to take whatever measures are necessary to ensure the safety of the vessel, its passengers and cargo, and that includes authorising those onboard to do the same.

The Israeli pirates were clearly geared up for slaughter. Their modi operandi were not those of a force intended to placate those on board with a view to taking their booty back to Ashdod. Everything they did was intended to escalate the situation.

There are even (as yet unsubstantiated) reports that a list of those aboard targeted for assassination was dropped by a member of the Israeli Occupation Forces during their act of piracy. While this claim is unconfirmed, it certainly fits the way the über-menschen of the Israeli Occupation Forces operate.

Not content with having committed an act of piracy along with several of murder and grievous assault, the Israeli Navy is threatening to use "more force" next time.

Entered Israel Illegally?

Those who escaped having their life abruptly stolen from them by the terrorist-cum-pirates of the Israeli Occupation Forces have either been deported (having been forced to sign a confession in Hebrew that they entered Israel illegally, which they didn't) or are being imprisoned in Be'ersheba and have to endure cramped overheated conditions, without access to legal assistance.  Meanwhile, the citizenry of the terrorist state established on stolen Palestinian land are out in front of the Turkish embassy celebrating the brutal and calculated murders carried out in their name.

The end of the mad dog beckons?

Israel claims that the Free Gaza Movement poses a threat to the Jewish state. Indeed it does. It has forced the supremacist state of Israel to display its contempt for the rest of the world. It has exposed the state of Israel for the murderous, barbaric entity it truly is.  In doing so, it is hastening the end the racist Zionist regime.

Former Israeli Defence Minister Moshe Dyan asserted that "Israel should be like a mad dog, too dangerous to bother".  Through their assault on Gaza over a year ago, their constant pining for war with Iran and their recent acts of piracy and murder on the high seas, they have proven that they are indeed that mad dog.  However, no mad dog is too dangerous to bother, and most mad dogs tend to come to ignoble ends. Was this what Dyan had in mind?  I think not, but I have no doubt that this mad dog will go the same way as others.
