War by Photoshop?
Austria's largest newspaper, Kronen Zeitung, has been fishing in the depths of the cesspool that is modern "journalism" and very much living up to the connotations its tabloid format conjure up. Not content with showing a family who are fleeing the violence in Syria, they obviously felt it was necessary to "sex up" the photo by superimposing the image of the couple on a backdrop of a badly damaged building.
All credit goes to a poster on Reddit who spotted the blatant Photoshop job. Naturally you are left with the impression that this couple are fleeing a Syrian Army onslaught whereas they could just as easily be fleeing the so-called "rebels".

Kronen Zeitung’s fake was caught because numerous media outlets had already run the original photo four days ago. I saw it myself. The original was from the European Pressphoto Agency B.V. [EPA] in Frankfurt Germany, which is owned by seven European news agencies (e.g. France’s AFP). EPA buys photos from freelance people around the world.
It is okay to alter images if the results support the NATO-Israeli-GCC alliance. Most people didn’t care when BBC claimed that a 2003 photo from Iraq showed the 2012 Houla massacre in Syria. However there is a global outcry if an altered image does not support the alliance.
For example, when Israel was bombarding Lebanon in 2006, Lebanese photojournalist Adnan Hajj altered a photo of a smoke cloud rising from Beirut to make the smoke a bit darker. As a result, Adnan Hajj was terminated from Reuters.
It is doubtful that anyone at the Kronen Zeitung will be fired for faking this image.

Note how the masses laugh at things like this, thinking, "Yes, that's exactly what the media does. Lies and more lies."
But when the media tells lies in real life, the masses regard them as "true."
This is like people who agree that in all cases, the victors of a war write the histry books, and fill the books with lies. This is always the case. There are no exceptions. Ever. Anywhere. Any time.
Except for us. We are the exception. Our books tell nothing but the truth about Nazi Germany, the Jewish holo-hoax, and so on. We know this because we were the victors over Nazi Germany. The victors always tell the truth -- as long as we are the victors.
