A 39-year-old man, Faiz Ahmed Aziz Usmani, who was summoned to the Mumbai crime branch office in Chembur for questioning in connection with last week’s triple blasts, died at midnight on Saturday. His family states he was tortured and that he had no history of hypertension.

Rabbi Dov Lior, one of "Israel's greatest Rabbis", was arrested 6/27 for refusing to report for questioning about his sponsorship of a book advocating racism and war crimes. Prominent leaders threatened to “shed blood” if Lior is ever “touched” again by Israeli law-enforcement.  The right-wing is now the majority; religious settler activists hold key positions in the government and army; and have years of experience getting away with violence and theft.

As for the fact that the rabbinate is against bigamy and polygamy, Sopher explained that “the rabbis at the Chief Rabbinate receive their salaries from the state,” so publicly they have to object to polygamy. “But if you ask them behind closed doors, they will say it’s allowed.”

Walid Shoebat is a Palestinian immigrant to the US who is a prominent spokesman for Christianity and Israel, and against Islam. He claims to have been a former PLO militant, although neither the PLO nor the Israeli government have any evidence of this.  Shoebat makes upwards of 500K a year, mostly taxpayer money, speaking to law enforcement groups and Homeland Security. He frequently appears on conservative talk shows. He was outed this week on CNN.

Israel was included erroneously on a U.S. Department of Homeland Security terrorist watch list, a U.S. official said.  Gillian Christiansen, a spokeswoman for the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement division of the department, said Israel's recent appearance on a list compiled by the department's office of the inspector general was a mistake.

Israel offered aid to Cyprus in the wake of an explosion at a naval base that killed at least 12 people. The "accident" occurred after arms seized in 2009 from an Iranian shipment to Syria caught fire.  In other news, Israel and Canadian Jewish groups "are sending a humanitarian aid cargo to help the people of South Sudan" and are planning a program of long term aid to women, children and elderly.  South Sudan became a state on July 9, with its capital in Juba. Israel recognized the state the following day.

"Anti-Semitic" cult leader and Marxist Fred Newman recently passed away.  Newman played a pivotal role in the election of Mayor Mike Bloomberg, and is also connected with NY's Governor Pataki, Elliott Spitzer, Senator Charles Schumer, Rudy Giuliani, the Italian-Jewish Gotti crime family, Ralph Nader and Lyndon LaRouche.  Newman has been promoted by the American Psychological Association. A Newman quote: “The Jew, the dirty Jew, once the ultimate victim of capitalism’s soul, fascism, would become a victimizer on behalf of capitalism; a self-righteous dehumanizer and murderer of people of color; a racist bigot."

These and other incidents coincide with Obama's recently announced troop withdrawl plan, beginning this July.  Sarkozy also announces planned French troop withdrawls.

Deshon Marman, a college football player with a full athletic ride at the University of New Mexico was removed from a U.S. Airways flight and subjected to the above for doing just that – wearing clothing deemed inappropriate by the pilot.
