For the second time this week, heavily armed pirates from Israel have captured a legally registered humanitarian aid ship in route to Gaza City. Today, the MV Rachel Corrie was captured in a bold daylight raid. This came unexpectedly, as the pirates are cowards, and previously used the cover of darkness to hide their barbarous acts.

Settler shoots at Palestinian demonstrators with soldiers present

On Friday, 26.2.2010, residents of the village of Asira al-Qibliya in Nablus District held a joint demonstration with Israeli activists from Combatants for Peace and Rabbis for Human Rights, protesting takeover of their lands by settlers. During the demonstration, youths from the village went over to a guard tent that settlers had erected near the outpost and took it down. Following their action, soldiers and armed settlers arrived at the scene.

The ban has been lifted: The Communications Ministry announced Saturday evening that starting Sunday it will allow Apple's iPad tablet computer into the country, following two weeks of confiscations and confusion.

The order came from Communications Minister Moshe Kahlon, who apparently hadn't been appraised of the initial decision to ban the devices due to their wireless specifications.

Maltese woman photographer shot in Palestine, but vows to continue demonstrating

A 28-year-old Maltese woman, Bianca Zammit, had a very close brush with death yesterday morning during a pro-Palestinian demonstration, when she was shot in the left thigh by Israeli forces near the Al-Maghazi refugee camp in Deir Al-Balah in central Gaza.
