Despite the Israeli government’s escalating threats of violence and attempts at diplomatic strong-arming, the organizers of a new international “Freedom Flotilla” – more than 15 ships that will set sail in late May to force an end to the blockade of the Gaza Strip – says it is proceeding as planned. To assure that its passengers are unharmed, the European Campaign to End the Siege on Gaza (ECESG), one of the flotilla organizers, is calling on all governments representing participating citizens to take concrete steps to protect their safety

Thanks to Barack Obama’s failed energy policies, seven deepwater rigs were moved from the Gulf of Mexico in the last year. At least one of the rigs was relocated to Brazil. Obama is going to lend billions of dollars to Brazil to finance exploration of its huge offshore oil field discovery. His good buddy George Soros is invested heavily in Brazilian energy.

Neve Gordon looks at how an evangelical Christian TV channel with a viewership of nearly half a billion people, including 20 million in the USA and 14 million in Britain, is funding a project to ethnically cleanse Israel’s Bedouin citizens from their ancestral land.
“The Jewish National Fund’s objective … is … to plant a pine or eucalyptus forest on the desert land so that the Bedouins cannot return to their ancestral homes.”

The activists, who are of Israeli, German, British and American nationalities, departed for the coastal sliver on Sunday, AFP reported.
Earlier in the year, Israeli commandos attacked the Freedom Flotilla, a Turkish-backed aid convoy carrying aid supplies to Gaza. The assault in international waters killed nine Turkish activists on board the fleet's lead vessel, MV Mavi Marmara.
Israeli Foreign Ministry spokesman Andy David called the Jewish cause "a provocative joke that isn't funny."

Human rights activists reach Hamas-ruled strip by sea, despite Israeli blockade.
Two vessels carrying 46 international human rights activists have reached the Gaza Strip, despite Israel's strict 14-month siege of the Palestinian territory.
The end of the mission to symbolically break the siege came after Israel backed down from an earlier warning to the 'Free Gaza' protest group not to breach the blockade.
Al Jazeera's Ashraf Amritti in Gaza said: "The arrival of these two boats is a very symbolic gesture for the Palestinian cause, to end the siege, end the occupation. In fact, those phrases are written across the peace boats which carry flags from more than 70 nationalities."

Defending Tel Aviv's deadly attack on the Gaza-bound flotilla, Israel's army chief has vowed to block future aid shipments heading toward the besieged strip.
Israel's army chief also rejected Turkish charges that some of the victims had been shot "execution-style" at point-blank, saying that shots had been fired at close range as part of a life and death struggle.

I have for many years understood that we, people of conscience, are the true holders of power in this world. Frustratingly however we have largely relinquished that power and failed to reach our full potential. Our potential to create a better world, a just world. Nonetheless I have conspired with others of like mind to reveal and exercise our true power. In 2002 I initiated the TJP Human Shield Action to Iraq because I knew that the invasion of Iraq had been planned well in advance, that it was part of a ‘Global Spectrum Dominance’ agenda as laid out by the Project For A New American Century.
