China has begun combat-ready patrols in the waters around a disputed group of islands in the South China Sea, the Defence Ministry said on Thursday, the latest escalation in tensions over the potentially resource-rich area.
Asked about what China would do in response to Vietnamese air patrols over the Spratly Islands, the ministry's spokesman Geng Yansheng said Beijing would "resolutely oppose any militarily provocative behaviour".

Anders Breivik’s embrace of Israel is the latest sign of a shift among reactionaries in Europe—with fascism and Zionism going hand in hand, fueled by Islamophobia. Christian nationalist terrorist obsessed with preserving the “Nordic/Germanic” people. He is also an ardent Zionist. Though he finds elements of Nazi ideology appealing, his 1,500-page manifesto condemns anti-Semitism. He argues that Hitler should have used his “military capabilities…to liberate Jerusalem and the nearby provinces from Islamic occupation” and give them to the Jews. Breivik calls on his imaginary comrades: “So let us fight together with Israel, with our Zionist brothers against all anti-Zionists, against all cultural Marxists/multiculturalists.”

Shortly before his death, over fifty years ago, Clifford Hugh Douglas surveyed the landscape near Aberfeldy in Scotland, turned to a close colleague and said:
“You know, T.J., I think the time is approaching when we shall have to challenge this monstrous and fantastic overgrowth of industrial expansion – fundamentally. Really, you know, I personally can see nothing particularly sinful about a small dynamo; but this thing we’ve got is past a joke. If it isn’t a joke, it is Satanic.”

Evidence has emerged that Britain's "ally", the Jewish Zionist State of Israel which attacked New York and tried to blow up the Mexican Congress in 2001, tried to sink the USS Liberty in 1967, was caught in a failed false-flag in Egypt in 1954, tried to obtain a New Zealand passport in the name of a tetraplegic man in 2004, used the terror weapon white phosphorus to attack Lebanese and Palestinian civilians in 2006 and 2008, attacked London in 2005, etc, secretly supplied arms to Argentina during the Falklands war.

In the Albanian capital Tirana, at least three people have been shot dead and several others injured during a rally. Thousands of protesters gathered outside the Prime Minister's office demanding the government step down over corruption allegations. Police used tear gas and water cannons to disperse the crowds who called for fresh elections. The country has been in a political deadlock since the opposition rejected the result of the ballot two years ago.

The United States makes false claims of nuclear weapon threats in other nations because US government officials and others do not understand nuclear materials’ and weapons’ production technology and are unwilling to rely on information from those who do. They also do not appreciate the importance of nuclear power to reduce use of fossil fuels. Virtually all information about nuclear weapons from US officials, news media and others is wrong.

Pelley's wonderful Dupes of Judah. Makes a fine companion to Ben Freedman's work.
"Shall we go to War this time to save Germany's Jews or Sassoon's Yellow River Dope Trade?"
Hitler's a "monster," or so it stacks up to me, because he's beaten the Jews at their own game of double-cross in Germany and they're plenty sore about it...Or the Sassoon Yellow-River dope trade is threatened by the Nipponese in China, and we must get busy and thrash the Mikado...
The other day, however, a little undersized Yiddisher runt by the name of Grynszpan was put up to the job of assassinating one of the Nazi envoys to Paris...The runt bungled the job and shot the wrong man. He "got" an under-secretary by the name of Von Rath. Hitler's agents smoked out exactly what had happened, and when the Nazis rioted against Jews all over, and assessed a $406,000,000 fine against 'em as a lesson

Yet, inexplicably, the U.S. and Nato both claimed that she had died at the hands of a suicide bomber, who had apparently detonated his vest as he stood beside her when the Seals were closing in. [...]
That statement, we now know, was inaccurate. For three days, the special forces failed to reveal the fact that one of them had apparently thrown a grenade that exploded close to where she was being held, bursting into razor-sharp steel shrapnel. It was only yesterday morning when their commanding officer reviewed audio and video footage from their helmet cameras that he ‘saw an arm throw a hand grenade’ and confronted his troops.

A demonstration was held outside the US Embassy in London on Sunday to call for the repatriation of Pakistani neuroscientist Dr. Aafia Siddiqui.
The demonstrators say Dr. Siddiqui was unjustly convicted of attempted murder at her trial in New York.
The sentencing of Siddiqui, who was accused and found guilty of attempted murder of US agents in Afghanistan in a controversial trial, has been postponed to next month.
Saddiqui's two youngest children, who were three months old and four years old when captured and taken into detention, are still missing.

A US writer and radio host says that the country's killing of civilians in Afghanistan serves the purpose of public intimidation.
"Things go back, I believe, to World War II, to intimidate the opposition. We did it ruthlessly in Vietnam, and the most well-known Operation Phoenix, with the estimated number of civilians that we killed, numbered maybe 80,000. The number could have been doubled," he added.
He said the United States military presences in Iraq and Afghanistan is tantamount to war crime.

Israel's army chief has defended Tel Aviv's deadly attack on the Gaza-bound aid flotilla in late May as 'proportionate and correct.'
Ashkenazi's claim that the flotilla activists initiated the attack comes as no guns were found aboard the ship.
Turkish post-mortem examinations have revealed that a total of 30 bullets were found in the bodies of the nine dead activists. One of the activists had been shot four times in the head.

The NY Times Jerusalem Bureau Chief, whose objectivity was cast into doubt because his son actively serves in the IDF, has just published a detailed article on the flotilla massacre.
The second paragraph jumps off the page:
The crack of an Israeli sound grenade and a hail of rubber bullets from above were supposed to disperse activists, but instead set them into motion. And when three Israeli commandos slid down ropes out of helicopters to take over the ship, a crowd set upon them.
