This past February, demonstrators posing as Islamic fundamentalists chanted anti-Jewish slogans in front of the main synagogue in Tunis...Suspicions abounded that this was orchestrated by deposed President Ben Ali’s security apparatus to discredit the Tunisia revolt as Islamic-fundamentalist driven...Reports of vandalism against Jewish property...have proven either exaggerated or fabricated.

A group of about 40 people in the West African country of Gambia has discovered an interest in Judaism, adopting some of its customs and even building a synagogue, an Israeli diplomat told The Jerusalem Post on Sunday.

"Leave Tunis, leave, to the Israeli gang" the Tunisian demonstrators chant angrily...The Israeli radio revealed information according to which a group of jews was flown out of Tunisia even before the escape of Ben Ali. According to this information, the group included “a number of Israeli security experts who were in the south of Tunisia working under a program of cooperation with the Tunisian ruling against Al Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb”.

In 1881, Mohammed Ahmed El-Mahdi declared himself the Mahdi, meaning the Messiah according to Islamic tradition, and engaged in a jihad against Turkish rule. The non-Muslim communities, settled in Sudan since the 16th century (Copts, Syrian Christians, Armenians and Jews) were forced on pain of death to convert to Islam. Ibrahim Omer is a descendant of one such Jewish family who apparently play leading roles in Sudanese society today... Omer reckons 'their number is not a small one'.

The community produced wealthy world leaders of Jewry, such as Nissim Gaon, president of the World Sephardi Federation, and Leon Tamman, one of the founders of the World Organisation of Jews from Arab Countries.

President Hugo Chávez's decision to sever ties with most US law enforcement agencies in 2005 has made it easier to bring cocaine to staging sites on the Venezuelan coast, said Vanda Felbab-Brown of the Brookings Institution, a Washington-based thinktank.  "The DEA is not present there, the Venezuelan military is making money off it, and much of the territory is just not controlled by the government," she said.

The Shocking Jewish Role in Slavery Part. Jewish historians record that the trade was so thoroughly dominated by Jews that auctions were not held on Jewish holidays.  Some of the leader Jewish slavers: Issac de Costa of Charleston, David Franks of Philadelphia, and Aaron Lopez of Newport. 

In Brazil, "the buyers were almost always Jewish", but the Funk and Wagnal Jewish Encyclopedia shows that "the trade in slaves constituted the main source of livelihood for the Roman Jews."

Ever more question marks have been raised in recent weeks over the reputations of the UN's Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) and of its chairman, Dr Rajendra Pachauri. But the latest example to emerge is arguably the most bizarre and scandalous of all. It centres on a very specific scare story which was included in the IPCC's 2007 report, although it was completely at odds with the scientific evidence – including that produced by the British expert in charge of the relevant section of the report. Even more tellingly, however, this particular claim has repeatedly been championed by Dr Pachauri himself.
