Mossad hanging out in North Korea (again)

I can only assume March 11 was a slow news day in Israel - though there was plenty going on in the neighborhood. Otherwise, why would that distinguished daily, the Jerusalem Post, deem it worthwhile to devote quite a long article, in its International Section, to the exciting, world-shattering news that Israel now boasts a North Korea friendship group?

The Dimitri Khalezov "WTC was nuked" hoax

So let's get this straight. According to Dimitri Khalezov and Gordon Duff, 150 kTon thermonuclear "demolition devices" were installed beneath the Towers when they were built, the Nixon administration was in on it and managed to cover it up until Khalezov "exposed" it 35 years later, the choice of 150 kTon - which must have been settled before December 1972 when the North Tower was completed - was determined by the Peaceful Nuclear Explosions Treaty for which negotiations began in Moscow on October 7, 1974 and were concluded in April 1976 with the Treaty becoming legally enforceable on December 11, 1990...

THE “NOT-TOO-HIDDEN AGENDA” OF THE IAEA

The International Non Governmental Organizations gave the IAEA, the dubious honour of being presented with the International NGO Community’s “Most Preposterous Proposal Award” “for presenting nuclear power as the environmental solution in energy and successfully keeping its problems out of the documents”.

We would like to highlight some of the SEDUCTIVE DEVICES, STRATEGIES, DOCTRINES, DOGMAS and FALLACIES that have made the IAEA worthy of this honour.

IAEA Director: Iran Has NO Nuclear Arms Program

IAEA Director General Yukiya Amano said on Monday, quote, “We are not saying that Iran has a nuclear weapons program. We have concerns and we want to clarify the matter.” Amano made the remarks at the opening session of the IAEA Board of Governors meeting in Vienna, Austria. This is while the UN nuclear agency in its latest report in February reaffirmed that there has been no diversion in the civilian nature of Iran’s nuclear program.

Iranian Claims He Was Trained By Mossad

Iran’s state-run Press TV showed footage on Monday evening of a man who claimed to have been trained by the Mossad and been involved in the assassination of an Iranian nuclear scientist in Tehran last year.  The unidentified man, arrested by Iran’s intelligence service, said he had travelled to Israel for meetings with Mossad operatives.

French-Style Nuclear Reprocessing Will Not Solve U.S. Nuclear Waste Problems

Contrary to some prevailing opinion, reprocessing would not eliminate the need for a deep geologic disposal program to replace Yucca Mountain. It aggravates waste, proliferation, and cost problems. The volume of waste to be disposed of in deep geologic repository is increased about six times on a life-cycle basis in the French approach compared to the once-through no-reprocessing approach of the United States...

-- France spends about two cents per kilowatt-hour more for electricity generated from reprocessed plutonium compared to that generated from fresh uranium fuel.

-- The two most recent large scale demonstration reactors, Superphénix in France and Monju in Japan, have been failures. Superphénix had a cumulative capacity factor of less than 8 percent before it was shut. Monju has been closed for almost 15 years, following a sodium fire, and has not generated a significant amount of electricity. Sodium cooled breeder reactors are not commercial today despite global expenditures on the order of $100 billion over six decades.

Nuclear Testing and the Rise of Thyroid Cancers

Thyroid cancer in the U.S. has been on the rise for nearly 40 years.

The long-standing explanation that this is due to better diagnostics is no longer accepted. This also means that the impacts of radioactive iodine fallout from nuclear weapons testing and Chernobyl cannot be so readily ruled out.

With a half-life of 8.5 days, Iodine-131 rapidly contaminates air, vegetation and milk supplies. Because it is absorbed mostly in the body’s thyroid, radioactive iodine has been linked to thyroid cancer and other types of thyroid damage in humans for several decades. It takes about 90 days for the radioactivity of I-131 to diminish to very small levels. Thyroid cancer can have a latency period as long as 38 years...

Israeli cyber unit responsible for Iran computer worm – claim

An elite Israeli military unit responsible for cyberwarfare has been accused of creating a virus that has crippled Iran's computer systems and stopped work at its newest nuclear power station.

The Stuxnet computer worm has wreaked havoc in China, infecting millions of computers around the country, state media reported this week.

Stuxnet is feared by experts around the globe as it can break into computers that control machinery at the heart of industry, allowing an attacker to assume control of critical systems like pumps, motors, alarms and valves.

Canada to Supply Uranium to India and China

In the mad rush to reduce global reliance on oil and gas from Iran the Persian Gulf, and with the hopeless aim of reducing income flowing to Iran and the Gulf states from energy production, Canadian corporations have committed to supplying India and China with thousands of tons of US uranium, a finite resource, over the next decade.

In doing so, Canada and the US are undermining the Nuclear Non-proliferation Treaty because India has not signed on.

The majority of the environmental contamination, both uranium tailings as well as gasses from milling and processing operations will be borne by western states and provinces, resulting in excess cancers and birth defects/mutations for countless generations.

'Uranium rush' prompts Grand Canyon fears

... The Grand Canyon region in the US state of Arizona holds one of the nation's largest concentrations of high grade uranium, the fuel for nuclear power.

As global demand for nuclear power has increased so has interest in the metal and, across the south-west, companies are seeking permission to restart uranium mining.

In the US, President Barack Obama has called for an increase in nuclear power to help reduce the country's dependence on foreign oil...

The impacts of uranium mining on indigenous communities

The climate change debate positions nuclear power as a partial solution to carbon emissions according to some scientists and politicians. Uranium mining speculation lacks comprehensive health and safety regulations while the ethics of Canadian exported uranium, which can lead to depleted uranium used in zones of war, needs greater scrutiny. Abandoned uranium mines and the subsequent hazards experienced in forgotten communities have been virtually ignored in Canada leading to tragic, unmitigated circumstances...

Interview with Ken O'Keefe

The world is full of illusions that are used by the rich and powerful to manipulate and control the people. The greatest illusion, and the one with the most devastating consequences, is that the American people and the Israeli, and the British, and numerous others, vote in their governments and hold them to account. Those who really control the governments are those powerful few who control the banking systems, the major multi-national corporations and, of course, the mass media. If you look beyond the faces of the presidents, prime ministers and politicians you will see that these governments' policies remain virtually the same, no matter who is 'leading' these countries. These 'leaders' do not answer to the people they have pledged to serve; they answer to those who remain behind the scenes.

The Bomb-Iran Debate From Hell

America’s march to a disastrous war in Iraq began in the media, where an unprovoked U.S. invasion of an Arab country was introduced as a legitimate policy option, then debated as a prudent and necessary one. Now, a similarly flawed media conversation on Iran is gaining momentum.

Is an Attack on Iran Imminent?

Today, the last US combat brigade pulled out of Iraq, leaving a skeleton crew of about 50,000 in the country. This pullout was planned well in advance - Obama announced it in 2009.  By June of 2010 or earlier, the Israeli Air Force set up shop in Saudi Arabia, near the city of Tabuk - the closest base to Iran - at the same time, US troops are massing along Iran's border with Azerbijan (they've been there for some time).  This weekend marks the start of operations for Iran's Bushehr nuclear reactor.

Look out for the nuclear bomb coming with your electric bill

Obama’s provision of $54 billion in loan guarantees to the nuclear industry will cost Americans much more than the probable 50% default rate that the Congressional Budget Office anticipates. While the federal government will guarantee the profits of investors, rate payers will suffer the inevitable rate hikes.

US war machine outdid itself in Fallujah

The toxic trail left by the United States onslaughts on Fallujah in central Iraq is reportedly deadlier than the one besetting Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

The findings are part of the study titled "Cancer, Infant Mortality and Birth Sex-Ratio in Fallujah, Iraq 2005-2009," which was also cited in an article last month by award-winning journalist Patrick Cockburn in British newspaper The Independent.
