America's true reason for attacking Libya becomes clear with new central bank

Libya has been one of the last nations in the world that had its own state run banking system, and control over its own money supply.  By having this system in place, they could demand oil purchases from their oil fields to be made in Libyan Dinar, and not the US Dollar.  It also means that Libya has ensured themselves a stable economy, with little inflation and currency devaluing as most of the industrialized world has under private central banks.

Colombia: Farmers demand right of return to lands taken for palm oil consortium

We have been victims of forced displacement by paramilitary groups and alleged drug trafficker, Jesus Emilio Escobar, who was owner of the Las Pavas estate. Several years after Emilio Escobar left the farm and the community had already established food crops, he reappeared to remove us by force and sell the land to the Consortium Labrador ...  They are dedicated to the implementation of extensive oil palm cultivation and caused our last displacement in 2009 with the consent of the municipal, regional and national government by using an illegal political process. They expelled us from Las Pavas with the assistance of the National Police, perpetrating the crime of forced displacement...

Dupes of Judah

Pelley's wonderful Dupes of Judah.  Makes a fine companion to Ben Freedman's work.

"Shall we go to War this time to save Germany's Jews or Sassoon's Yellow River Dope Trade?"

Hitler's a "monster," or so it stacks up to me, because he's beaten the Jews at their own game of double-cross in Germany and they're plenty sore about it...Or the Sassoon Yellow-River dope trade is threatened by the Nipponese in China, and we must get busy and thrash the Mikado...

The other day, however, a little undersized Yiddisher runt by the name of Grynszpan was put up to the job of assassinating one of the Nazi envoys to Paris...The runt bungled the job and shot the wrong man. He "got" an under-secretary by the name of Von Rath. Hitler's agents smoked out exactly what had happened, and when the Nazis rioted against Jews all over, and assessed a $406,000,000 fine against 'em as a lesson

The Sweet Smell of Death in the Gulf Coast Breeze. What is in that boat's barrels?

OSHA describes 2-butoxyethanol's odor as a "mild, pleasant, sweet, fruity". Corexit 9527, the MOST TOXIC and DANGEROUS oil dispersant compound, contains 2-butoxyethanol. The video shows an unmarked boat with two huge barrels attached to it, with a sweet odor surrounding the vessel.

Natural gas is scented with a nasty smell (the chemical Mercaptan) so we can tell when there is a leak. This warns people NOT to breathe it. HOWEVER, the chemical dispersant (Corexit) is scented with a sweet smell from the 2-butoxyethanol, which isn't perceived as a dangerous smell. This sweet aroma would cause more people to willingly breathe it in on shore, unalerted to the danger in their air.

Oil lies becoming more preposterous

They lied about what happened on 9/11/2001. They lied about the need to make war on Iraq. They lied about the reasons they started bombing Afghanistan.

So I guess we should not be surprised that they have lied every day about the profound defacement using an out-of-control oil well to destroy the Gulf of Mexico.

BP Oil Spill & Methane Hydrate

Because drilling can bring warm fluids up from depth, potentially melting the shallower gas hydrate, many researchers and engineers anticipate that drilling through gas hydrate may pose a hazard to the stability of the well, the platform anchors, the tethers, or even entire platforms.
