Schneerson died in 1994 without naming a successor, and the Chabad movement has been without a Rebbe ever since. She was set to graduate Summa Cum Laude at the end of this semester, but the university law school was forced to reconsider her status when criminal law professor Alan Dershowitz criticized Njiem’s scholarship.
