Iraqi businessman and several family members murdered in French Alps. Was it a professional hit?

The bullet-ridden BMW estate in which a family were massacred in the French Alps was escorted by police away from the scene today.

Baghdad-born Saad Al Hilli was found dead in the vehicle along with his wife, Iqbal, and her mother near at a beauty spot in the south-east of the country. A passing cyclist also died nearby from gunshot wounds.

Today it emerged his four-year-old girl, who survived the attack after spending eight hours lying still under the corpses of her mother and grandmother, asked police where her parents were when police found her.

Public prosecutor Eric Maillaud said she was 'terrorised, immobile, in the midst of the bodies'.
