What is wrong with this picture of Beit Hanum, Gaza and Sderot, Israel?

Take a look at this pic of the land where Israel buts up against Occupied Gaza. On the left is the Gaza city of Beit Hanum, on the right, the Israeli city of Sderot.

Photobucket

Notice how the land in Occupied Gaza looks brown, dry and lifeless, with only a few splotches of green?

Then look at the land in Israel. The lush greenness of the land and the irrigated and fertile fields literally leap out at one's eye.

It's easy to see who's in control of the water.

You could take pics all over Occupied Gaza, on the border with Israel and they'd have the same look.

While Gaza and the West Bank where Palestinians live is being sucked dry of water, the Israeli side will show fields of green and thriving crops, being fed copious amounts of Palestinian water.

If an Israeli wants to fill his swimming pool with precious water, no problem.

But if some Palestinian needs a little water for his crops, he'll be told to piss off. Most likely beaten and stands a good chance of getting shot for asking for some water.

Just another facet of the planned and ongoing Israeli ethnic cleansing of Palestine.

Those Palestinians the Zionist War Machine can't shoot, bomb or blow to bits with an artillery shell, will be starved to death.

Be proud America!

These are your tax dollars at work.

You might recognize Beit Hanum from another batch of Israeli war crimes committed in 2006 in that town.

This town is also notable for the 2006 shelling of Beit Hanoun where 19 Palestinians were killed by IDF shelling. According to Israeli authorities it was in response for its use as a base from which Palestinian militant groups have fired Qassam rockets into the northern Negev towns like Sderot, as well as the former Gush Katif settlements.

In December 2006, the UN appointed a fact-finding commission led by Anglican Archbishop Desmond Tutu to investigate the attack. However, Tutu and the other members were not granted permission to travel by Israel and the investigation was cancelled. Tutu's final report to the United Nations human rights council[5] concluded, however, that "[I]n the absence of a well-founded explanation from the Israeli military - who is in sole possession of the relevant facts - the mission must conclude that there is a possibility that the shelling of Beit Hanoun constituted a war crime."

It is impossible to see anything wrong with the picture.  It is the political reality of genocide on the Palestinians which is wrong, not the picture.

One has to ask why no UN findings have any effect on the political realities of SLC IsraHELL and its neighbours as SLC IsraHELL owes its entire existence on a UN decision.

If UN can decide that a new country should be established it can surely also decide to close down countries, which consistently prove that they do not accept to be part of the international community by breaching international law on human rights.

I do not know of any other country which has defied as many UN resolutions as SLC IsraHELL.
