This is outrageous . . . As a government official, you can say whatever vile thing your decrepit heart desires - if it's about Muslims. But, if you criticize the criminal 'state' of israel, you're forced out of office.
A Cherokee County official has resigned from her position after criticism over comments she made on her Web site about Israel.
Mary Catarineau, who is on the Cherokee County Planning Commission, wrote about dismantling Israel as a way to achieve peace in the Middle East in March 22 entry on her Web site, "My Diary With God."
And in a March 24 entry, Catarineau wrote that Israel "was artificially created to provide a place for Jews to avoid persecution after the Holocaust. The Holocaust is not going to recur, and Israel has caused nothing but problems. Jews can remain or leave, but give the land back to the Muslims."
Cherokee County is a fast-growing county north of Atlanta.
Catarineau said she wanted the Internet posts to encourage people to think about different ways to end the violence in that part of the world.
"If anything I wrote on the blog was offensive, I sincerely apologize," she said. "That was not my intent."
To avoid escalating the controversy, Catarineau said she was stepping down from her position on the planning commission and from her position on the county's Comprehensive Plan Steering Council.
The posts have been removed from the Web site. But in an entry on the site dated Tuesday, Catarineau wrote that she has also said critical things about Muslims but that "people focus on only what they wish to see."
County Commissioner Harry Johnston, who appointed Catarineau to both positions, said growth and development are already controversial subjects without other issues coming into play.
"She's stepping aside to eliminate a controversy that may be unnecessarily impeding progress on the primary issues at hand," Johnston said.
What's happening is she's being FORCED out to ELIMINATE OPPOSITION to continued US support for the criminal 'state' of israel.
This woman is a local official, responsible for local politics, her opinions on foreign policy have ABSOLUTELY NO BEARING WHATSOEVER on her tasks as a county official and therefore should be a NON-ISSUE. That is, IF the people in power at the local level cared more about the welfare of the local residents than they do about the welfare of israelis.
But, they don't. As usual, israel comes first.
At this rate, NO ONE will be left in our local and state governments to put American interests FIRST.
This kind of strong-arming in our governments MUST END.
Pass this on to as many people you can - especially in Atlanta.

Remember politicians, when your usefulness is over to the people who are buying you, they won't even know you. And neither will we!!!
European leader resigns following anti-Israel remark
Chris Davies was the leader of the Liberal Democrats in the European Parliament. He also represented Northwest England.
In May 2006 he visited the Palestinian Authority. Upon returning to England, he accused Israel of pursuing "racist policies of apartheid," while posing as a victim.
Zionist organizations blasted him as “anti-Semitic,” “scumbag,” “Jew-hater,” “shit-head,” and so forth.
As he read hundreds of furious e-mails, he opened one from a Jew who wrote, "You seem to equate the situation of the Palestinian people as the same as the Jewish victims of the Holocaust."
Mr. Davies responded: "Sounds like racism to me. I hope you enjoy wallowing in your own filth."
In the ensuing firestorm, Davies apologized and resigned.

Famous violinist fired for anti-Israel remark
Gerard Menuhin, 57, is a famous Jewish violinist. In late 2005 he suggested that Germany was being blackmailed by an international Jewish conspiracy preying on Germany’s war guilt. He said Germans are under “endless blackmail” because of the holocaust, and that “a people that allows itself to be intimidated 60 years after the end of the war is not healthy.”
As a result, the board of the Yehudi Menuhin Foundation fired Gerard Menuhin as president.

NAACP Leader resigns over “anti-Semitic” remark
When Al Gore ran against Bush in 2000, his VP candidate was Joe Lieberman. Lee Alcorn, president of the Dallas branch of the NAACP, said, "I think we need to be very suspicious of any kind of partnerships between the Jews at that kind of level, because we know that their interest primarily has to do with money and these kinds of things."
NAACP President Kweisi Mfume suspended Alcorn. Other national civil rights leaders, including Rev. Jesse Jackson of the Rainbow Push Coalition, rebuked Alcorn, who then resigned.

German MP blasted over anti-Israel remark
Martin Hohmann was a member of the German parliament, and represented Germany's main opposition party, the Christian Democrat Union (CDU).
In a speech to constituents, he claimed that Jewish people had a "dark side.” He talked of "the Jews" as a "nation of perpetrators," and noted that they were responsible for the deaths of millions of people during the Russian revolution. He said it was unfair to single out Germans over the holocaust, when Jews had committed similar crimes in Bolshevik Russia. He said Germany's political elite was obsessed with atoning for the holocaust.
Zionist groups in Germany demanded his resignation.
Angela Merkel apologized.
So did Mr. Hohmann.

Poet Laureate attacked for anti-Israel remark
New Jersey Poet Laureate Amiri Baraka wrote a poem titled "Somebody Blew Up America." It includes a passage saying…
~~Who knew the World Trade Center was gonna get bombed?
~~Who told 4000 Israeli workers at the Twin Towers to stay home that day?
~~Why did Sharon stay away?
“Poet Laureate” is a state-appointed position created by the Legislature in 1999. Baraka is paid a $10,000 stipend, and is required to perform at least two public readings annually, plus promote poetry in schools and throughout New Jersey.
Because of the poem, Gov. James E. McGreevey demanded that Baraka resign. Baraka, 68, refused, and the governor could not force him.
Baraka said, "Don't tell me that every time I criticize Israel I have to be an anti-Semite. I'm not going to be intimidated by that. I'm surprised the Governor was stampeded."
The ADL continues to demand that Baraka be terminated.

Manitoba chief claims Ahenakew coverage increasing hatred of Jews
CBC, Apr 11, 2005
WINNIPEG - A First Nations chief in Manitoba says media coverage of David Ahenakew's hate trial will increase aboriginals' hatred of Jews and make the former leader of the Assembly of First Nations a martyr.
Ahenakew was on trial last week for promoting hatred against an identifiable group over comments he made at a conference in December 2002, when he praised Adolf Hitler and the Holocaust and referred to Jews as "a disease."
In a letter faxed to the Winnipeg Free Press, Roseau River Reserve Chief Terrance Nelson said he doesn't agree with Ahenakew's views.
But he claims Jews control Canadian media and ignore First Nations issues. In the letter, Nelson singled out CanWest Global Communications; its owners, Winnipeg's Asper family; and their newspaper, the National Post as "the voice of Jews."
He confirmed his views during a telephone interview, says the Free Press report.
David Matas, a spokesperson with the B'nai Brith League for Human Rights, has demanded the Roseau River band fire Nelson.
Last week, Ahenakew's lawyer Doug Christie said the reporter who wrote the newspaper article quoting Ahenakew should be charged with a hate crime.
Christie said reporter James Parker, who used to work for the CanWest-owned Saskatoon StarPhoenix, knowingly disseminated hate by writing the article in the first place.
If found guilty, Ahenakew could face up to six months in jail. Provincial Court Judge Marty Irwin is expected to rule on the case on June 10.
