What do you mean by banned from Congress? Do you mean banned by Congress?

Cherifa Sirry

I'm not sure exactly how it happened, but the video was not allowed to be viewed by members of congress during a congressional hearing.

Presumably, someone from Congress made that decision.

I think you may have been attacked by a Denial of Service barrage attack on this post. Your blog went down earlier saying you were using over 20% of the CPU resources. That's not possible unless you have attracted some nasty attention.

Usually I have to wait until I can access Q's site again and then the notice is gone.

What do you mean...Denial Service?? Nasty Attention?

Spammers can actually fiddle with someone's website?

Members of Congress were not allowed to view a video? I find this very weird… How does one forbid fully grown member of Congress from watching a documentary? Who would be in the position to do “the forbidding”? Pelosi? Cheney? Maybe Chertoff… or the blood sucking Kissinger? Are the members of Congress allowed to see the documentary from their homes and private computers… or is that also forbidden?

I find this story fascinating. Does anyone have a link on it?

What is a Denial of Service barrage attack? I did improve on my HTML. If you notice, I can now write in ‘bold’. LOL. Posting pictures however is still not working… yet I did try. HTML is much harder than Arabic:)

It is a bot program that make so many requests for that website that it shuts it down. Many times they use unwitting "zombie" slave computers that they have infected to make these requests. I think you can figure out who I mean by nasty attention.

Solution is really good firewall protection.

It has no tolerance for extra spaces, missing quote marks, or unreciprocated brackets and unreciprocated terminating commands. It does exactly what you tell it to do.

You must give the commands and addresses EXACTLY as the manual instructs.

I suspect you may be putting an extra space between the img src and the = sign. imgsrc= "is not the same as img src =" is not the same as the correct syntax of img src=". Quotes at both ends of the address and brackets on both sides.

The correct command is:

<img src="exact web address of the picture">

Remember the quotes are critical.

I swear to God and cross my heart that I followed your instructions to the dot… and I didn’t leave any space… But instead of a picture appearing, a small little white frame would appear:(
I am still trying however… as I have ambitions…lol…

Question: Is there a place where one can practice HTML… because I can’t really practice it on a site… I am sure that this is a very silly question, but I have to ask. How can I know that I am learning unless I test myself?

Just keep previewing until you get it right ;P

You can practice your HTML right here by hitting preview, not post comment.

Here are some possibilities as to why you are having problems:

Make sure that you have selected Full HTML underneath your comment - don't use filtered HTML if your want to give your own HTML commands;

The little white box means it is not finding the web address for the photo. Use your mouse left click to view the properties of the picture and copy the name there. Better yet use firefox, left click and grab the address by selecting Copy Image Location;

Try a number of different pictures from different web locations - it's possible you are trying to get one that blocks hyperlinking - remote, but possible.

Practice with this - type it in exactly, not cut and paste because I use a trick to make the brackets appear rather than become html commands

which give you

Keep trying - I anxiously await your first successful picture!

Thank you, thank you thank you!!! I am almost afraid to go on…, but I do have another question to ask… what is firefox? I noticed that it has been referred to on several occasions…
I really appreciate the help!
Thanks:)

Is better than Internet Explorer in my opinion, it up to version 2.0.0.4 now. You can get a firfox video downloader for all those Google video and Youtube vids too!
