How Now, Mr. Hounam ?

I would like to attempt to connect a few dots from my previous surveys of "Operation Cyanide", to certain plotting points that
I have only unearthed lately, upon extensive further observation. Since running somewhat afoul of the celebrated "free speech" protocols of this site, during various forays into current issues
of journalistic censorship, it has once again occurred to me
what a pressing concern freedom of speech continues to be,
along with the inevitable unfortunate repercussions of losing it.

So how did we finally begin to hear about Operation Cyanide ?
Why do I dwell on it so ? It was over forty years ago already ! What possible relevance could it still have to our present-day predicament ? Well, please allow me to reconnect just a few more of those dots, to seemingly unrelated matters at present.

Since I am more of a bellringer than a whistleblower, let us cut
to the case in question - whistleblowing. Recently, perhaps
our most fabled modern day "whistleblower" of that inclination,
Daniel Ellsberg, published an article about a strangely ironic confluence of timing in the respective cases of Irving "Scooter" Libby ( or Liebowitz, as I prefer ), and of Mordechai Vanunu,
who, as far as "whistleblowers" go, was more of a clang-bang bellringer, ( as I like to fancy myself ), and actually belongs in another league unto himself. Yes, after 18 yrs. in solitary for bellringing, I indisputably assert - "in a league unto himself" !

But he is still most affectionately referred to as a "whistleblower".
So didn't I nearly have a cerebral hemorrhage while discovering,
after continuing to test the credibility of "Operation Cyanide", that the man most responsible for Mordechai Vanunu's most notorious act of "whistleblowing" was none other than veteran London Sunday Times journalist, Mr. Peter Hounam, who is himself indeed accountable for the publishment of his very own recent definitive magnum opus,"Operation Cyanide", in toto !
Zounds ! What, or whom, to my wondering eyes should appear ?

Only now does the husky, bearded figure of Hounam embracing Vanunu come into full focus, in a photograph I used previously
in the middle of a BBC expose' which I had posted as "Part II"

Aye, there's the rub ! And this is where the rubber really meets the road. Without getting any further into the many ramifications of Ellsberg's article just yet, suffice it to say, that on precisely the same day that Bush commuted Scooter Liebowitzs' prison term, in it's imagined entirety, by the Court of King Caracticus, our man for all seasons -"Mordie" Vanunu, was sent right back
to prison, after having served the longest ever term in solitary confinement as circumscribed by any and all preceding human rights conventions, for his own monumental and irrevocable act -
giving irrefutable proof of Israeli nuclear weapons to the world.

Why has that world heard far too much less of such a fearless
and outspoken man, a true hero of greater humanity, than of a perverted and compulsively prevaricating arch-criminal, who was instrumental in provoking and perpetuating the Iraq War Crime
( yes, that's what it's called, folks ) at the very highest level of U.S. "Gubmint" ? Loyal adherents of this site will not require an obvious answer to that obvious question, but aren't we all more
in dire need of a few more real heroes than villains at this point ?

My first intention here was to share some video material I lately discovered, which goes quite a bit further towards fleshing out
the historic and fortuitous, if no less calamitous, relationship of Peter Hounam to "Mordie" Vanunu, and how the earth-shaking Sunday Times story was first broken; how their mutual bond -
an unflinching, unquenchable quest of truth, propels them both,
even to this day. In my estimation, that is a real earmark of all "true" journalists, or messengers of truth, a simple compulsion
to learn it, know it, and communicate it. Those who might prefer to exercise their "inalienable right" to "free speech", with nary a thought as to the personal consequences, would do well to take a long hard look at Mordechai, who renounced his own "Judaism"
to embrace the "Good News" of Christianity, and who was more than willing to take on an awesome responsibility of shouldering what turned out to be the "truth and the consequences".

And as a result, Peter Hounam felt responsible for "Mordie".

( What follows are four quarter length segments of a BBC production which, like "Dead in the Water" once shed upon 'Operation Cyanide', sheds some considerable light on Peter Hounam, through various live interviews and reenactments. The segment where Hounam is reunited with "Mordie" is very moving, and is reflected in the above photograph.
You will see it at about 1:35, in Part 4
.)

Israel's Nuclear WMD Part 2/4
Israel's Nuclear WMD Part 3/4
Israel's Nuclear WMD Part 4/4

As for Israel, and US, it is far too long past zero hour to banish the craven succubus born of such an incestuous relationship.

And as for Peter Hounam, and for me, upon my learning of his instrumental role of expediting "Mordie" in his most daring and significant mission, I need no further credentials to reaffirm his perspicacity, in spite of any inveterate naysayers, and there are many of them, in the necrimonious affair of the USS Liberty, or the yet unfathomable depths of "Operation Cyanide". I do find it rather oafish that the storied Michael Piper can't even pronounce Hounam's name, and his arch-rival, the irascible "you know who", is still very intent on convincing everyone that Hounam's book is
a complete hoax. But if they can beat a dead horse right into the ground, so can I. To me, at this point, Hounam is nothing less than a "journalist for all seasons", grappling with very elusive "facts", but still communicating an extremely vital message.

And if I could think of any man at present who might most truly constitute what I might call "a man for all seasons", in my mind, that would be Mordechai, an eternal optimist and a living saint.

In consideration of such an enormous debt that our ignorant world owes to this little giant of a man, how do we spring Vanunu ?

Informative.

Vanunu is truely brave and a hero.

Yet when we (those who do), speak truth,...what happens?

Enslavement and jail time.

Everyone who was involved in jailing Vanunu should be in jail themselves....they are Haque criminals.
