And they admitted it, live on national TV . . .

STUART VARNEY: Well, let me put out something positive about Iraq, if I may for a second.
Look, we took the fight to the enemy.
We divided the enemy.
The enemy is now fighting itself.
America’s interest is surely being well-preserved and well-protected.
We are in a fact, in a way, winning and preserving our interests.
That settles it, then.
According to the pundits who wanted this war from the outset, when Iraqis kill Iraqis, we win.
Now, we just have to catch them admitting that Americans and israelis are actually instigating civil war and that it's really israel's interests - NOT AMERICA'S - that these conflicts serve.

This Varney let slip what many people have been suspecting: 'Divide and Rule, let them kill each other to take pressure off us.'
I wonder if he'll mention US/UK/Israeli (or other foreign mercs) terror squads blowing up Shia mosques and assassinating Sunni clerics while dressed as Arabs. Or planting bombs in unsuspecting people's cars. That sure would add to the tension and civil war.
ocassionally, I will republish pertinent posts that didn't get as much attention as they should have, the first time around.
When I do, unless it's a post from the old blog, it will usually be modified as in this case - I changed the title and reworded the message a little, plus the original date of publishing is lost.
However, all the comments remain as they were originally published and the gist of my message is the same.
The British paper the Finacial Times recently had a front page map of Iraq, which was divided up into small units as a possible 'solution' to the problem.

According to the investigative writer Max Fuller (National Review Online), the key CIA manager of the interior ministry death squads "cut his teeth in Vietnam before moving on to direct the US military mission in El Salvador". Professor Grandin names another central America veteran whose job now is to "train a ruthless counter-insurgent force made up of ex-Ba'athist thugs". Another, says Fuller, is well-known for his "production of death lists". A secret militia run by the Americans is the Facilities Protection Service, which has been responsible for bombings. "The British and US Special Forces," concludes Fuller, "in conjunction with the [US-created] intelligence services at the Iraqi defence ministry, are fabricating insurgent bombings of Shias."
This is interesting because it seems to be contradictory with the view that Bush and Blair and their corporations wanted a quick war and an easy US brokered peace with plenty of profits from war and 're-building'. we also have a view that other western agencies are attempting to add fuel to the fire and to cause a civil war in Iraq. Unless of course there are different western factions doing it. Probably Israel/Mossad creating the insurgency and fueling it, and other factions in the US like Bush just wanting the nightmare to end. Bush et al are just the fall guys. Bush is so stupid he can be blamed for the whole mess.
