Why the sudden interest in Burma?

(The ruling junta in Burma changed the country’s name to Myanmar. The Burmese people were not consulted on this. Therefore I shall call the country Burma.)

It seems to me that the sudden U.S. attention to Burma has two components. (1) Oil (2) Establishing a new zio-friendly regime in Burma, as was done last year in neighboring Thailand.

First, regarding oil, consider this article…

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
With three countries -- Thailand, Cambodia, and Vietnam -- vying for the off-shore oil booty in seas where maritime borders are contested, the Cheney gangster cartel hopes to achieve a dominant position to grab that oil. (Burma is right next door. More on Burma below.)
The visit of the U.S. Navy Seventh Fleet's USS Gary (FFG 51) to the Ream Naval Base near Sihanoukville (Cambodia) on February 9, 2007 was billed as the first visit of a U.S. Navy ship in 30 years.
(Yes. The last U.S. Navy ships to "visit" Cambodia were in 1975, when the Ford Administration pulverized the Cambodian coast in response to the capture of the SS Mayaguez by Khmer Rouge forces. Kissinger told President Ford to do this attack, in the hope that it would boost Ford’s popularity ratings. –AZ).
In February 2007, the USS Gary visited the Ream naval base at the same time the USA began construction to expand the base, so Ream can receive more warships and military personnel.
The new U.S. naval presence in Cambodia is in the exact same area that saw intense fighting between the U.S. Navy / Marines and Khmer Rouge forces, which captured the "container ship" USS Mayaguez in 1975. The Cambodians briefly imprisoned the 39-man crew of the Mayaguez on Koh Tang island, the suspected site of a new U.S. spy base. (More about the new Koh Tang base below.)
Although the Gerald Ford administration claimed that the USS Mayaguez was an unarmed merchant vessel, the ship was under contract to the military, and may have been spying on oil exploration operations in the Gulf of Thailand near the Wai Islands, claimed by Cambodia.
The Cambodians were in the process of releasing the Mayaguez crew when Ford ordered the US Air Force to bomb the port and airfield of Sihanoukville, Cambodia. Forty-one American military personnel died in this needless attack on Cambodia, mostly from an accidental explosion. Other American personnel fled via a Cambodian fishing boat, and were picked up by the U.S. Navy.
In addition to the Ream Naval Base expansion, between 15 and 18 U.S. NSA / Central Security Service signals intelligence (SIGINT) personnel have arrived at Ream to establish an off-shore SIGINT station on one of the Cambodian islands in the Gulf of Thailand. According to a New Zealand Security Intelligence Service (NZSIS) source in Cambodia, the island chosen to host the new U.S. intelligence base is Koh Tang, a location with a prime intelligence-gathering vantage point in the disputed (and oil-rich) waters of the Gulf of Thailand. The NSA has assigned Thai, Khmer, and Vietnamese linguists to the new Koh Tang island base.
On September 16, 2006, the USA supported a military coup that overthrew Thailand's democratically elected government. Ralph Boyce -- U.S. ambassador to Thailand -- now sports a yellow tie to show his support for the royalist-backed coup, since yellow is the color of the monarchy.
Hence the USA is now expanding its bases at Ream (Cambodia) and Koh Tang island (in the waters off Cambodia).
There is speculation that Cheney is also beefing up a U.S. military presence in Thailand (not just Cambodia) on U.S. military bases that were once important during the Vietnam War. This includes the base at Utapao, Thailand, which the Navy had used for P3-Orion naval reconnaissance aircraft, and the US Air Force used to attack Cambodia over the Mayaguez incident.
Since the previous Thai government was never consulted on the use of Utapao in the attack on Cambodia, Thailand ordered the base vacated by the Americans. The same government never believed the Mayaguez was an innocent merchant vessel. They believe the ship provoked the Cambodians to seize it in Cambodian territorial waters.
Then came the U.S.-supported military coup in Thailand (September 2006). The new regime has let the American military move back in.
The Thai-Cambodian border is in dispute, and some Khmers make no secret of their desire to take back historically Khmer territory in eastern Thailand. The USA will help Thailand keep this territory.
COMMENT
Thailand is also important for the israelis. Wayne Madsen and others have documented Mossad activities in Southeast Asia, including Thailand. Also, Bangkok child-brothels are a favorite vacation spot for Jewish gangsters.
Parts of southern Thailand have a significant Muslim population that may not take kindly to the Cheney oil grab -- hence the U.S. military buildup there.
So….what about Burma?
I suspect the ruling junta in neighboring Burma is not happy with the Cheney oil grab. Therefore the USA is now pressing to get rid of the Burmese junta, and replace it with a regime that seems more benign, but is actually more zio-friendly. This will make the USA look like a hero, when in fact the USA is getting ready to steal the oil. And of course, Burma is a distraction from the Iraq nightmare.
And by getting rid of the current regime, Burma will become integrated into the international banking system, which will keep the Burmese enslaved.
International oil and international banking. QRS suspects that the closer you look at these two, the more they are revealed to be one and the same monster.
(But let’s not forget…oil has NOTHING to do with Zionism. Right? Riiiiiight. )
Bottom line…
Cheney wants to grab the oil off Burma/Cambodia/Thailand, and establish a zio-friendly regime inside Burma, as the USA has already done in Thailand.
And as always, the USA will do it while posturing as a "champion of Democracy."
And if it distracts from the Iraq nightmare, then so much the better. :)
then I think the Empire is starting to stretch itself too thin.
Afghanistan, Iraq, Sudan, Somalia and now Burma.
And Israeli involvement everywhere. There is no way, they can keep this up forever.
This will be the one and only time I ever respond to anything you type.
"The military runs huge drug factories in the jungle."
Interesting. Any web links? I'm sure that many people at WUFYS would like to like to learn more.
The way I see it, to completely discount the role of oil, and of establishing a zio-friendly regime, is, ah, how shall I put it diplomatically?
FUCKING ABSURD
Burma and the Golden Triangle was the largest supplier of heroin for a long time. Now it's Afghanistan and Mexico is coming on fast.
In the drug trade, it's all about monopoly. If the U.S. afghan heroin trade was threatened by the Burmese military, they would oust them in a heartbeat, just like the Taliban.
Remember - the Skull and Bones is founded on the drug runner / opium smuggler / clipper ship fortune and policies of the Russel Trust.
Oil, weapons, drugs and food. The most profitable items in the world - in that order!
guys what about distraction from the quagmire in ME and Iran. Whenever these guys talk about human rights in some country its almost always a distraction and psycho preparation of masses for next war. Burma is BS in world scene. Drugs are not limited to Afghanistan or Asia they have plenty of it in Spanish america. Do you really think that Zionists are not aware of opposition to their expansion of war on terror in ME and how much they have discredited themselves with Iraq war and lies abut 911. I see this stunt of human rights concerns as public damage control. Well even the mainstream media is often forced by online sites like this one to report what they usually would never report. Why, well for same reason to salvage growing number of people who just don't believe their version of world events. Don't underestimate them, they might be corrupt but they are not stupid. Then again it could be about drugs and oil as well but I found it less plausible at this point in time.
I suspect it's a little of all.
Burma/Myanmar has very large reserves of Gas that China wants and the Zionist US doesn't want it to have for cheap - and so far they've resisted financial infiltration by the moneychangers.
Both these factors among others (Drugs, Oil) are good enough reasons for the zionized US government to get embroiled.
There is one thing that we can all agree on, however - it's NOT a humanitarian cause.
The fascination with Burma/Myanmar is about power, greed, and most importantly CONTROL.
WAR IS ON US all over the world. War is on dissent from NWO ziodevils and they could not care less what religion or nationality you are as long as you disagree with them you are some kind of rogue state or just simply a terrorist designated for future destruction.
Thanks for your comment. I did not know about that pipeline.
It's one more reason why the Bush regime is pushing for "regime change" in Burma.
They want to control that pipeline, or perhaps shut it down.
I don't know if China is protesting things like this, but I don't hear about it in the western media. Either the Chinese are weak and naive, or else they have major plans with the pipelines from Russia and Central Asia.
Still, they put a lot of money into developing oil fields in Africa. Again, if they are protesting U.S. involvement in Africa (with the new military arm called AFRICOM and so forth) I haven't heard it.
Strange.
Abdul-Alhazred | Sat, 2007-09-29 15:44
Thanks for the info on the Burmese pipeline. That's the kind of news that passes under the radar, but can be really important.
AZ - you are right - this little entity on this thread is a particularly nasty personality - probably the result of years of ritual abuse from a parent figure. Screaming for attention, yet "IT" is totally ineffective in it's communication skills because it know only how to fight back when it feels confronted. Pitiful potty mouthed creature.
