No exceptions

“It was just like THX1178 poster. Same weird shit. Also, banning someone because you don’t want people to know you have special priviledges (sic) is quite cowardly IMO. and dis-ingenuous.

And when their nastiness is caught, they go on the attack.

Thank you for your comment.

The comments were spotlighted as examples of how certain people just don’t “get it.” Note that the two comments came directly under QRS’ original warning. The writers completely disregarded that warning. What does that indicate to you?

”An exception to the 'no exception' clause in the contract itself….”

I don’t know what that means, but I do know nastiness when I see it. Profanity may be “meaningless” to you, but others may not find it meaningless. (And no, I’m not being snide.)

"I was merely defending their right to ask REASONABLE questions, state REASONABLE opinions and post REASONABLE rebuttals in defense of themselves…”

Would you call those initial two comments (above) reasonable? Do you think others would find them reasonable?

This is a relief to be rid of garbage and smut. –Rhiannon

It distressed me to see all the wasted effort by some very talented posters. –Claymoremind

I respond to you here because I respect you. I find your posts and comments extremely valuable, and I learn great info from them. Some are (in my opinion) among the best I’ve seen. But when people attack each other and use profanity, it ruins this entire blog. Worse, it’s parasitic. Nasty people attempt to ruin a forum that has intelligent discussions -- just like a certain other group of people I know (outside everyone at WUFYS).

“Free speech” does not give people a license to do away with common courtesy. Nor do profanity and nastiness constitute dissenting opinions. They are profanity and nastiness, period.

The fight is “out there,” but certain people seem determined to bring the fight “in here.” (I do not include you.) Then, acting as agents of discord, they accuse everyone else of being “agents.”

Of course, it’s QRS’ web site, and if QRS wants to allow this kind of thing to continue, great.

Thanks (sincerely) for reading.
