Why can't we solve the Middle East conflict?
Why are millions homeless in the richest nation on earth?
Why can we afford WAR but not HEALTHCARE for our veterans and our poor?
Why do the rich get richer and the poor poorer?
Why, oh, why - you ask - are all these things happening in America, the greatest democracy on earth?
One answer fits all.
Not racism (because people of different race form alliances to get ahead) - but TRIBALISM.

- A strong feeling of identity with and loyalty to one's tribe or group.
A similar tribalism plagued Arabia until the advent of Islam. That's why different tribes plotted together to kill the prophet.
Sadly, today, Arabia again suffers under the yoke of tribalism.
Some people, namely communists, like to blame our problems on classism.
But, I consider the term a misnomer and a distraction because there are (believe it or not) wealthy people who do not subscribe to the amoral values that the current ruling-elite espouse.
Consider, for example, Henry Ford, who until today they excoriate because he loved people other than himself.
There will always be differences in wealth among people. But, as long as humanity is valued more than selfish tribal loyalities, the disparities will never be as stark as they are now, nor the injustice as prevalent.
Until Americans realize that TRIBALISM is why democracy sucks in America, we will remain both divided and enslaved.
It's not about race, class, or religion.
It's about how far you are willing to go for your tribe.
It's a contest of VALUES -
brotherhood, transparency, and
justice and opportunity for ALL
vs.
selfishness, greed, secrecy
and - above all - EXCLUSIVITY
Because it takes boatloads of poor people to make one man filthy rich!
In the words of George Carlin - it's one exclusive club - and you and I ain't in it!
That's why the lives of our most popular leaders - Huey Long, JFK, MLK, Malcolm X - were invariably cut short by 'lone assassins' . . .
Because they weren't loyal to the tribe.
Wakeup, America - before tribalism kills us all.
