How a Vampire tried to cheat Jesus Christ

Telling Omission of Religious Reference

What a joy to watch Josh Hamilton in the home run derby before the All star Game when he set a record of 28 home runs in the first round. I was reminded of the small article in Yankee Notes in which Hamilton spoke of a dream prior to the event.

"It's weird, I had a dream that before I got back into baseball, probably about 3 months before I got reinstated, I was at a home run derby and it happened to be at Yankee Stadium," said Hamilton, who served several suspensions from MLB for violating league drug policy. He was out of the league from 2002-2006. "I didn't see myself hitting. I just know this lady came up to me right after and stuck the mike in my face and everyone in the stadium got to hear why I was at the home run derby ... now it could possibly come true."

The full quotation, as printed in The Daily News of NY concluded  "...everyone in the stadium got to hear the reason I was at the home run derby and that's because of what CHRIST did in my life and is still doing. Now it can possibly come true."

Is there any good reason The Bergen Record replaced those 14 words with an ellipsis, other than it simplyu did not want to print a reference to JESUS CHRIST? And this newspaper has wondered why it's readers percieve it to have a liberal bias.

Just another blatant example of trying to eliminate Christianity and JESUS CHRIST in the USA. People be strong, make American a CHRISTIAN country again.

Comments

It wouldn't surprise me in the slightest.

But they have a reference to the article in the Bergen Record in the letters section.
