Nothing on earth adversely affects the collective psyche of a nation like military defeat and occupation. The scar remains for thousands of years blighting the minds of countless generations until the enemy is finally defeated and national pride is restored.
Today marks the second anniversary of the defeat of the Zionist military at the hands of Hezbollah Lebanese resistance in the 33-day war.
Tales of courage and sacrifice during the war ring out with pride and joy throughout Lebanon: a nation that had suffered in the grip of Zionist occupation and desperately needed to regain its self-confidence and pride of place among the Middle Eastern communities.
Hezbollah resistance made it look so easy to beat the world's so-called fourth best army, and the strange thing was that Lebanese people driven from their homes by the Zionist aggression never really unpacked elsewhere. Somehow they all knew that 33 days in the summer of 2006 belonged to them.
And gentlemen in Lebanon who did not partake in the defense of their country must think themselves accursed they were not there; and hold their manhoods cheap.
Lebanon was liberated from the spiritual torture of Zionist occupation of almost twenty five years earlier and Lebanon exacted the calumny of psychological pain of defeat on the Zionist regime.
Enemies remain within Lebanese borders and their paid agents tried to sully the glorious remembrance day of Lebanon's 2006 victory over Zionist aggression and racism.
A bomb planted on the side of a main street tore apart a bus carrying civilians and members of the Lebanese military on Wednesday morning rush-hour in the northern city of Tripoli, killing at least 18 people and wounding 46 others.
And similar acts may be repeated in the future but all in the Middle East know that the damage that Lebanese resistance has done to the Zionist regime and ideology cannot be reversed through any measure.
He who has no stomach to this fight, we would not die in that man's company.
But it is all too late. Acts of violence against Lebanon will only bring the Lebanese nation closer together; the proof of which is Hezbollah's elevated position among the country's social, political and military strata.
Lebanon is back and victorious owing to one courageous campaign led by those who loved their land and the glory of God over the material temptations of this world.
Lebanon's victory in 2006 has become an epic relayed from father to son for centuries to come. The Zionist regime on the other hand will never be able to live down the pummeling it got from a happy few, a band of brothers.
God bless all children who keep the faith.

of what is going on in the world....even though they might not realize that what they write for one situation ...goes for another.
I won't be told anymore
That I've been brought down in this storm
And left so far out from the shore
That I can't find my way back, my way anymore
Forgive them that tear down my soul
Bless them that they might grow old
And free them so that they may know
That it's never too late
For the many times, what seemed like a memory
I've searched and found the ways you used to lure me in
I found the way, oh, why it had to be
Mired in denial and so afraid
If we ever find it’s true
That we have the strength to choose
Our freedom or the chains
We held together
(Quotes)
I'm gonna tell you a story
Stand up for righteousness!
What?
Stand up for justice!
What?
Stand up for truth!
How can a person grow up with all this around them?
You got to call on that something
Where does it come from?
That can make a way out of no way
All this hatred?
What we've got here is..
Fear!
Failure to communicate
I tell ya I seen the lightning...I've heard the thunder roll!
Everybody's acting like we can do anything
and it don't matter what we do.
Maybe we gotta be extra careful because maybe it matters more than
we even know..
Hatred isn't somethin' you're born with...
I feel discouraged
It gets taught
Sometimes I feel discouraged
I felt this fear...
All men betray. All lose heart!
I don't want to lose heart!...I want to believe
I won't be told anymore
That I've been brought down in this storm
And left so far out from the shore
That I can't find my way back, my way anymore

You're Welcome
I appreciate you bringing to attention that Aisha may have been 14 or 15 years old when she went to live with Muhammad, and 9 or 10 years old when she was married to him.
And this would certainly make me feel better. Shame on me for not researching this topic thoroughly! I appreciate that you put this information about Aisha at my thread.
And this just goes to show how ridiculous those hadiths can be. They are not factual most of the time - and now this Muhammad and Aisha information just proves that again.
You should see some of the hilarious arguments in my family about the hadiths. I wish I could record the events.
Here's another site which contradicts the hadiths about Aisha's age when she was married to Muhammad.
Shame on you for not researching most things Rhiannon. Perhaps Joe ought to be warned about the mischief you are capable of causing.

..you should remember that hadith you made, before the sex change of course; guess it's the alzheimer's!! =P
I hereby declare Muhammad NOT GUILTY.
Take that, joos.
SHUT UP!
Sometimes...not all the time, I find people who convert to Islam to be the worst hypocrites. That is IF you are Muslim? Who knows with you.
I'm almost sure your Muslim, and that wasn't nice to say, part of being a Muslim is being Abel to control your tongue. A person's intellect becomes apparent through his dealings, and a person's character is known by the way he exercises authority. The intellect is a king and characteristics are its subjects, so if it is weak in governing them, disorder takes place.
Our Imam's (the Prophets grandchildren) were created by God to show us the way of a Muslim person's character should behave, Morals etc.
Here's a story for you...
Mubarad and Ibn Aisha narrated that a man from Syria saw Imam Hasan (a.s.) (our 2nd Imam) riding a horse and started insulting him. Imam Hasan (a.s.) did not reply to the man. When the Syrian stopped, Imam Hasan (a.s.) proceeded towards him and after cheerfully greeting him said:
"Old man, I believe you are a stranger. Maybe you have confused me with another person. If you ask forgiveness, it is granted to you. If you ask for a means of transportation, we shall provide it for you. If you are hungry, we shall feed you. If you are in need of clothes, we shall cloth you. If you are deprived, we shall grant you. If you are being sought, we shall give you refuge. If you have any need, we shall fulfill it for you. And if you wish to proceed with your caravan be our guest until you leave, it would be more useful to you, for we hold a good position, great dignity and vast belongings."
When the man heard the words of Imam Hasan (a.s.) he cried and said:
"I testify that you are Allah's heir on His earth. Allah surely knows to whom He assigns His Message. You and your Father were the most resented of Allah's creatures to me, but now you are the most beloved of Allah's creatures to me."
The man then directed his caravan and became their guest of the town until he departed while believing in their love.
