My Thoughts On The Third Obama vs. McCain Debate

My Thoughts On The Third Obama vs. McCain Debate

The contrast couldn't have more stark. The closest comparison i can think of would be if i was debating the meth dealing roofer down the street. Barack Obama is the first presidential contender of my lifetime who may actually even be smarter than me. How can you not respect that? And, his campaign is run by uber diciplined magic ninjas, pretty impressive stuff...

The most striking moment for me, the one that showed the broad ideological divide between the two candidates in sharpest detail, was when John McCain tried to use Obama's condemnation of CAFTA (which he called the Columbia free trade agreement) against him.

Obama's response? Left to the body, and a right cross, right on the button. Turns out Obama isnt fond of the rightwing death squads killing labor organizers opposed to fascist Alvaro Uribe. Now, i will grant you that 'labor organizers' have a mixed historical record, but we are talking about peasants here fighting imperialism, indigenous peoples seeking a little fairness and self determination, being killed by fascist death squads, not a good environment for a free trade agreement.

The ideological divide between what the two candidates is broad and vast, McCain is truly more of the same screwing we have been getting. At home, and abroad...

or slogan...

"McCain - more of the same screwing we've been getting - at home, and abroad..."

I can't watch the debates, prez or vp or otherwise, since they're nothing more than a well staged dog and pony show for the gullible that damn near makes me nauseous.

I do watch clips to get an idea of whatever BS they're selling and something from the 2nd debate caught my eye.

It wasn't what they were saying, but doing.

A couple of times, when Obama would be taking, McCain would get up and wander around, with no particular place to go.

Like he was in a clouded stupor.

I've seen that confused gait before, in old folk's homes.

The times we had to go to a certain retirement home for medical emergenices, they had a large Alzheimer's ward that usually, we'd pass thru.

That's where you'd see the patients wandering about, with no place really to go, but just wandering.

And that's what I saw in McCain during the 2nd debate.

What's scarier? That he has Alzheimer's and is refusing to admit it, such is his lust for power or that he doesn't know that he has Alzheimer's and the pit bull is waiting and salivating, in the wings?

McSame really is tough to watch. He has ZERO stage presence.

He's 100% grouchy old bastard yelling at the kids playing ball too loud.

Obama comes off smooth and quick on his feet. He controls his emotions very well parries every hit with logic and fact.

I'm a university level Parliamentary debate judge. I've judged at the National Championships six times in the past.

Obama clearly dominated this debate on my score sheet.

Because that's what he acts like; an imperious throne sitter who's raging at the proletariat who have been denying him what he feels like is is birthright, the throne.

Yes, McCain is a petty, vindicative, nasty SOB who acts like we're scum and should be throwing roses at his feet.

No wonder his classmates at the Naval Academy nicknamed him "McNasty."

Reverend Jesse Jackson was framed by neo-con operatives, a la, the Office of Special Plans (OSP). New York Post, conservative columnist Amir Taheri, who penned the article, which ignited the news blitz alleging Jesse Jackson said senator Barack Obama would dismantle Zionism at home and abroad when elected, has a long history of fabricating well-placed news stories of this sort.

Mr. Taheri was the fraudster responsible for the articles in 2006, that shot around the world, which claimed Iran enacted legislation that would mandate all Jews wear yellow insignia. Many news outlets that carried this fallacy had to print an ensuing retraction. Ostensibly, the same dynamics are at play here.

Unfortunately, Barack Obama was not, is not and may never be a champion combating the crimes of Zionism at home or abroad. (Even if he wins and has those anti-Zionist tendencies, he could only act upon them in a lame duck term otherwise, he would be defeated after his first term -- He could then pull an Ehud Olmert and start speaking about justice and peace.)

Obama's record of supporting Israel here and abroad is extensive and explicit. Our system of government specifically, the process of elections would have to be radically altered for such a righteous man to attain the popularity of Barack Obama. As it stands, elections are a free market orgy that usually, goes to the "highest bidder."

The success of Barack Obama's candidacy is indeed historic, symbolic and upholds some of the core illusions of the democratic capitalist system however, the structure will remain - nothing of significance will change. (Just make a nice postcard using photoshop instead of putting hopes in a political machine candidate - save yourselves some pain)

Obama Campaign Withdraws From Two Jewish Debates

The Republican Jewish Coalition (RJC) Executive Director Matt Brooks issued the following statement today:

Now that the Presidential debates are over, the Obama campaign is trying to cancel all remaining debates in the Jewish community that include the Republican Jewish Coalition.

Maybe there is something to what Jesse said. This is a good move by Obama!

Claymoremind | Thu, 2008-10-16 21:41

why should Barack Obama debate in  these limited and smaller forums? He has won all the 3 national debates handily and currently, hold a 10 percentage lead over the McCain/Palin ticket. Participation in further debates can only present opportunities for his opponents. It is a wise strategic move.

Although, the veracity of the Amir Taheri article is highly doubtful. After all, he has been a henchman that placed black ops accounts in the media for years. Moreover, one would think that Jess Jackson must be more sophisticated and would not commit such a blatant faux pas, which the purported accounts represent if they are indeed true or even half-truths. But like Jessse Jackson sometimes says: "Keep hope alive!"

Hezbollah.

They wouldn't have been debates, but public muggings designed to put Mad Dog McCain in the spotlight to show his Zhid Masters how well he appreciates having them around.

It would have went off like an auction, with each one bidding on how much damage they would cause in the Arabic and Muslim world, all to appease that paranoid nation of bigots and apartheid lovers, Israel.
