Mumbai attacks: Terrorists took cocaine & LSD to stay awake during assault

Anyone who's taken LSD knows that most of the time, you have trouble finding the bathroom, let alone operate an automatic assault rifle. Between the auditory and visual hallucinations, you won't be worth a damn for battle. This I can confirm from firsthand experiences.

And how can they be fit and shooting up cocaine? The article states they had toned bodies. People who shoot up cocaine are in the terminal phase of drug addiction and their bodies are wasting away, not looking like an advertisement for some health club.

Fitness and cocaine use don't mix. Shooting up cocaine would make one so damned nervous and paranoid, you'd shoot at any noise.
Shooting up cocaine isn't what people do on a whim. They either snort it or smoke it. Shooting up means that they'd been injecting the cocaine for some time, since you don't just shoot up cocaine on a whim.
Your body wouldn't be use to that much of a toxic load hitting your central nervous system and you might OD.
This I can also confirm from firsthand experience.

And ingesting LSD wouldn't make one sprint to the gym for a workout, since you'd be taking a tour of the universe using Pink Floyd's "Dark Side of the Moon" and Black Sabbath's "Paranoid."

Neither would be my drug of choice for staying up for 50+ hours. If I wanted to stay up and active for 50+ hours, my first drug of choice would be pharmaceutical speed.

Or maybe they used some of the Rabbi approved, Kosher Meth from Agriprocessors.

10 of those Mumbai held off several hundred of India's Best?

Sounds to me like there were more than 10 attackers in this batle.

The rest managed to escape in the fog of battle to Tel Aviv.

Mumbai attacks: Terrorists took cocaine to stay awake during assault

Terrorists who battled Indian commandos for 60-hours last week relied on cocaine and other stimulants to stay awake for the duration of the fight.

Officials said drug paraphernalia, including syringes, was recovered from the scene of the attacks, which killed almost 200 people.

The heavily built men, who had undergone training at a special marine camp established by the Lashkar-e-Taibat (LeT) terrorist group in Pakistan, had also used steroids to build a tougher physique.

"We found injections containing traces of cocaine and LSD left behind by the terrorists and later found drugs in their blood," said one official.
"There was also evidence of steroids, which isn't uncommon in terrorists.

"These men were all toned, suggesting they had been doing some heavy training for the attacks. This explains why they managed to battle the commandos for over 50 hours with no food or sleep."

One terrorist used the drugs to keep on fighting despite suffering a life-threatening injury.

Drugs are commonly used in India by workers in jobs where a lack of sleep is demanded, such as truck drivers and security guards.

The 10 men who attacked prominent Mumbai landmarks were able to hold off hundreds of India's best trained special forces by mounting sophisticated ambushes, maintaining a constant, steady rate of return fire and a superior knowledge of the layout of the buildings seized.

The gunman captured during the attacks on Mumbai has told police he underwent months of commando-style training in an Islamist militant camp in Pakistan.
The training was organised by the LeT and conducted by a former member of the Pakistani army, a police officer close to the interrogation said.

"They underwent training in several phases, which included training in handling weapons, bomb making, survival strategies, survival in a marine environment and even dietary habits," a senior officer said.

would definitely be on the bottom of the list of drugs I'd take with me into an armed standoff. Tripping off my head with special forces on my arse - no thanks.

First of all, the risk of heightened paranoia would be extremely high if not guaranteed, or alternatively, you'd end up throwing down your AK-47 in the middle of a transcendental experience of oneness and unconditional love for all sentient beings. It's odd that it was found at the scene, and interesting in light of its use as a mind control agent.

Cocaine makes much more sense. It'd be nearly as effective as meth at fending off fatigue and keeping oneself awake and alert, but it's much better for you than meth, and leaves you less prone to drug-induced psychosis.

Yep Kenny, meth would put anyone in the proper frame of mind for going on a psychotic rampage, especially if your handlers withheld your dose until you went out and performed some grisly deeds.

That fucking meth is one drug that should be against the law.

Tried that shit too and found out quick that I didn't like the side effefcts.

LSD. What was it? Some left over good Sandoz stuff from the CIA drug experiment days. Maybe they finally perfected its use.

No, you are absolutely correct Greg.

Meth has been the proven drug for keeping 'killing machines' going since at least before World War II.
