Thanks for that. Comedy is our best weapon against the Z-clique. If there's one thing they can't stand, it's being laughed at.
I mean I know he's not too great but if McCain had won he'd be saying it. Still possible that he might though if he ever does address it.
But, Obama doesn't seem to have a problem coming out and talking about the economy or any other issue, just Israel. And, Bush is only President for a few more days, the US troops are not involved, so I don't see that him speaking out on Israel would be overstepping his bounds. What if Israel started importing blacks for Africa to be slaves? Would he wait until he was officially sworn in to address this? Well, maybe he would ...
I voted for Obama (with much regret, now) and I was willing to give him a chance, but his cabinet picks told me all I needed to know. I don't have to wait for him to be President to know that he is going to be just as much a suck up to Israel as Bush ever was. What is worse is that he isn't universally hated and is able to deliver moving speeches -- so he will actually do more harm. He buys Israel more time to get the killing done before the people finally rise up and say enough is enough.

Believe me, I have no faith in Obama. More than likely he will be the greatest pawn Israel has ever had. However, there's still a chance that his subservience to Israel is just a ruse. It's interesting that he's staying silent about Gaza. I would have expected him to just say "rockets, mortars, right to defend itself," like the rest of the politicians and be done with it.
But there's still a chance of Bush declaring martial law and refusing to vacate the Presidency. Maybe Obama has been a sleeper agent this whole time. Probably not, but it's a nice thought.
I reluctantly voted for Obama for pretty much that very reason. I know we don't have fair elections. There was no real choice (as write ins aren't counted in most states anyway). And Obama did at one point make a speech where he talked about the suffering of the Palestinians (words that never leave the lips of viable politicians).
I guess I hoped that his sellout was not 100% complete. I know Obama is not going to be the kind of politician I wanted or that this country really needs at this time. But I'll settle, sadly, for a President who, if he can't change the direction of the country, can at least stop us from going over a cliff. I guess if he manages that, I'll see him as somewhat successful.
We all know that if was really bringing change, he wouldn't have won. And Obama has to know that, unless he makes some bold moves, if he has a change of heart and tries to do the right thing that he will be gunned down. I still worry that this is the plan after all. I mean, if "Iranians" or "Russians" assassinated our first black President -- people would be demanding WWIII and we could kill off all of Israel's enemies and their competition for world super-power status (Russia and China and the US) in the process.
I will gladly eat crow if Obama turns out to be a good President :)
