Pandora, as I have already tried to say, I'm keeping an open mind on this one.
The video taken in the forests around the crash site certainly show that there was fog, but it didn't seem to be to be dense enough at ground level to result in zero visibility.
Slowly but surely, evidence will start seeping out and will either back up the accident claim or point to something more sinister.

RickB, I think you didn't read my comment properly. I didn't pooh pooh anything, whether it be conspiracy or accident. I simply said there is not enough evidence to support either theory (conspiracy or accident). In order to believe in a conspiracy I need to see evidence all pointing to a particular conclusion. I don't see it in this case. As I said, I'm undecided, and will remain so until there is evidence to sway me one way or another.
I never had much time for the policies of either of the Kaczysnki twins, but I've mixed feelings about this accident, if that is what it was. The internet is awash with idiotic comments to the effect that the KGB did it. Never mind that the KGB has not existed for two decades. Such comments are made without any concrete rationale as to what Russia has to gain from all of this, the essential cui bono element. Granted, these comments are usually made by idiots who also believe that President Obama is "Marxist", when it is patently clear to anyone with half a brain that he is not. He's clearly a totalitarian, but not of the Marxist variety. Marxism, whatever its weaknesses, would not advocate plundering the people to bail out the banks. That action is straight out of the playbook of Mussolini and is classic fascist economics.
This could be an accident, if there was dense fog and if the rest of the story is as was described. I've detailed why such an accident could easily take place in my comment here. However, there are still too many questions and inconsistencies surrounding this crash to be able to come to a conclusion one way or another.
