Turkey's interception of Syria-bound plane an act of war given the OK by US

Don Debar, an anti-war activist and journalist says the incident with Syrian plane in Turkey is a wake-up call signaling that NATO members are ready for open military confrontation.

It is not a violation of international law, since the Turks intercepted the Syrian jet in Turkish airspace. The USA does not allow any jet to transit U.S. airspace if even one of the passengers are on a U.S. blacklist. That includes ordinary citizen passengers.

Turkey did not do this without an okay from Washington.

I think Erdogan did this on his own. The USA can bomb Syria at any time. The USA doesn’t even need a pretext. NATO can simply start bombing, as happened with Libya. And the Western masses will cheer, as happened with Libya, and will happen with Iran if NATO chooses to bomb Iran.

Make no mistake. Among the people who now oppose war with Iran, 99% of them will cheer if war actually starts. That's one reason why the madness continues. Most people support it. Even most "anti-imperialists" and "anti-war" people. For example, when "anti-imperialists" insist that "Salafists" attacked the CIA nest in Benghazi, they are supporting the "war on terror."
